How Do I Rock Red Lips?

 
There’s no better way to look holiday party ready than painting your lips a pretty shade of red. Thing is, most girls shy away from the bright color 'cause they think they can’t pull it off.

The trick to wearing rouge lips is to pick the right shade. Colors can be divided into two groups: cool and warm. Cool shades are blue-based and include hues like cranberry. These shades look great on gals with fair skin. Warm reds are orange-based and look great on peachy and tan skin tones. We've got the best shades for your skin!

 
Fair-skinned femmes
Porcelain pretties should choose a pretty blue-pink hue. The color will go on darker and really make your kisser stand out.



Medium-skinned mamas
For this type of skin tone it's best to pick a red lipstick with an orange undertone. The color will appear brighter and more orangey, and make your pucker pop.
 


Darker-skinned dames
Chicas with dark skin can usually go both ways with color. You ladies look luscious in cool AND warm reds. It really depends on if you’ve got more of a pinky or orangey complexion. A cherry lipstick with pink undertones looks great on most gals with dark skin.

MOD MOD Mod!
Ok so i have like really ugly under eye discoloration. I mean its purple from under my eye all the way up to the bridge of my nose. How do I conceal it? I mean whenever i try and apply it, people can notice! I try blending and stuff, but it doesn't work. If I get that concealed, my face will look actually quite flawless! ;)
What do i doo??? Thanks!

Hey girl, it's all about blending your concealer and foundation in evenly. Try having your mom help give you tutorial and go from there. Practice makes perfect!

MOD! my parents are really strict about no make-up. not even blush. i'm 13 and all the girls i eat lunch with wear make-up and have been for awhile. how can i convince my mom to let me wear make-up?

 

Hey girl!

Tell your mom that if she lets you use make-up, you'll start off with materials that will only give you a natural look (lighter shades) so that she won't freak. Also, pick a facial feature that you really want to enhance. If you tell her that you'll only be using products for your eyes and not cheeks or lips, she might be more willing to go for the make-up idea if it's at a minimal.

Ok i am not a girly girl and not a tomboy i am in the middle what color lipstick would be best???

 

Hey girl!

Lipstick shades go more by the shade of your complexion than whether you're a girly girl or tomboy, but if you want something neutral try light pink. Avoid darker shades because it'll have a more dramatic effect that you might not be looking for.
