How Do I Rock Red Lips?

 
There’s no better way to look holiday party ready than painting your lips a pretty shade of red. Thing is, most girls shy away from the bright color 'cause they think they can’t pull it off.

The trick to wearing rouge lips is to pick the right shade. Colors can be divided into two groups: cool and warm. Cool shades are blue-based and include hues like cranberry. These shades look great on gals with fair skin. Warm reds are orange-based and look great on peachy and tan skin tones. We've got the best shades for your skin!

 
Fair-skinned femmes
Porcelain pretties should choose a pretty blue-pink hue. The color will go on darker and really make your kisser stand out.



Medium-skinned mamas
For this type of skin tone it's best to pick a red lipstick with an orange undertone. The color will appear brighter and more orangey, and make your pucker pop.
 


Darker-skinned dames
Chicas with dark skin can usually go both ways with color. You ladies look luscious in cool AND warm reds. It really depends on if you’ve got more of a pinky or orangey complexion. A cherry lipstick with pink undertones looks great on most gals with dark skin.

Blue eyes are beautiful!  To make them pop, try using any of these colors of shadow: copper, bronze, gold, navy blue, or baby blue.  Those all complement your eyes and will make them really light up.

Ok so i have like really ugly under eye discoloration. I mean its purple from under my eye all the way up to the bridge of my nose. How do I conceal it? I mean whenever i try and apply it, people can notice! I try blending and stuff, but it doesn't work. If I get that concealed, my face will look actually quite flawless! ;)

Hey girl, it's all about blending your concealer and foundation in evenly. Try having your mom help give you tutorial and go from there. Practice makes perfect!

Hey girl!

Tell your mom that if she lets you use make-up, you'll start off with materials that will only give you a natural look (lighter shades) so that she won't freak. Also, pick a facial feature that you really want to enhance. If you tell her that you'll only be using products for your eyes and not cheeks or lips, she might be more willing to go for the make-up idea if it's at a minimal.

Lipstick shades go more by the shade of your complexion than whether you're a girly girl or tomboy, but if you want something neutral try light pink. Avoid darker shades because it'll have a more dramatic effect that you might not be looking for.

Hey babes, Wash your face everynight and moisturize. A lot of girls don't put lotion on because they think it will make them break out more but in actuality, dry skin overcompensates by overproducing oil. xo JANA

Hey girl! Wearing too much makeup can def have some bad skin effects. Wearing a little blush or eyeshadow is usually no biggie though. Try throwing your mom some options and see if you two can come to a compromise!

Hey missy, show your mom what you found on the internet so you guys can read about the outcomes and side effects of tanning together. Let her know you're not comfortable going and discuss other ways to get rid of acne. I use Proactiv and that helps a lot. There's also Clearsil and Neutrogena. Smile

My favorite thing to do in the morning is to pull my hair into a low side ponytail and use a curling texturizing product to give it some curls and texture. Its a cute easy look. Have fun! xoxo kerra

i have a couple questions.
1) I have a great best friend,but when I get to sit with my friend Emily which I haven't seen offten lately cause we have assinged sets at the moment at choir, I want to sit/stand near Emily. Causes Hannah stands/sits next to me the the assinged sits. But she always wants be to sit with her ( Hannah) when I have the chance to hangout with my other bestie Emily. She is kinda getting clingie how can I get her to stop being such a cling on? Cause she is like my best friend in the world.
2) My one friend always saying my clothes are kiddie or something like that when I'll wear clothes which I like, I think she keeps forgetting that I'm more of a tomboy most the times than she is. How can I tell her nicely to stop it? cause sometimes it really hurts my feelings.
3) I'm in between being in girls and in jrs. clothing. What are some cute outfits I can do with a skirt? Also what are some cheapish but nice stores that I can get clothes at other than walmart, target, and kohls?

 

Hey Chica --

 

1) Sometimes friends get jealous when you have other friends, that's just the way it is!..and I'm sure you've been there before! All you can really do is be patient with her, it is probably just a phase. After all, she is doing this because she likes you and you are her friend! Maybe Emily and Hannah could get to be friends and the three of you could all sit together. Try to initiate group activities, maybe a mall date or movie sesh!


 

2) That's so frustrating! Just remember that everyone has different styles. Two people could be wearing the exact same cardi put style it in totally different ways... everyone has their own ideas when it comes to clothes, and it's their way of expressing themselves! Let her know this. Next time she makes a comment, be like.. well, this is me! This what I like! That's what you like...she'll get it eventually!

 

 3) Skirts are super cute with turtlenecks, a cute tank and a cardi, or even a vneck sweater. Throw on some tights or leggings and boots or flats and you'll be ready to go! Hey babes, you like attention. Everyone does. It is easy to interpret behavior to mean one thing and then seeing him act the same way towards someone else makes it seem as though he doesnt really like you like you though.  The best thing to do is to just realize that guys are just a nice addition to life. Hey babes, if he wanted to kiss you he would have kissed your face. I am not sure youre at that point yet. If you want to kiss him  then you need to go for it yourself. It sounds like he would be open to it but maybe he is just nervous. You might have to wait for an indefinite amount of time if you dont want to make the first move. There is really no skill to kissing. It kinda just gets better with practice. The only advice I have is to tell you that real life kissing is in no way like movie kissing. You dont need exaggerated movements and you want to keep it as minimally sloppy as possible. xo JANA

I have found that if you straighten them with a straightener, you can use it to actually curl them into a flip out that looks great. As you pull the straightener down along your hair, slowly twist your wrist inwards to make the ends curl. xo JANA

1)Okay, I really like my BGF. He teases me a lot and pretends to hate me (it's this joke we do to each other) and he's always with other people cause he's popular. I'm not, so sometimes I don't get to talk to him when I want to. Also, when I'm asking him a question, he'll do that joke we always play (but he's a great friend cause he always helps me when i need it). 3) I really don't like wearing dresses. I don't shave my pits and I don't like dresses above my knee or in colors like pink or something (I'm kind tomboyish, but i can let some things pass). Do you have any idea of what kinds of dresses to wear? 8th grade grad pics are coming up.

Pretty! I would try to do a darker makeup.. like a smokey eye. Use black eyeliner and mascara for the effect and keep the rest of your makeup simple.

So i got invited to a prom for freshman by my guy friend. I have a black silk halter, knee length, with blue and puurple turqouise and white multicolored feathers on it. Problem is, its a v neck that dips really low. I don't want to wear a tank under b/c the back strap will show. what do i do??
Also, How should i do my makeup? I am a blonde with hazel eyes. Thanks!!




YOu could buy a special bra! And I would keep your makeup natural, with maybe a shimmery bronze or copper color and some mascara.

i am TERRIFIED of taking pills. i always think im gonna choke on them. a long time ago i had to take a pill that helps stop motion sickness cuz i waz on this boat & i accidently chewed it. it waz soooo nasty!! ughhhh?! the taste in my mouth waz unforgetable! now i have to take anotha pill & im scared!! do u know wat i can do 2 make it easier??




Cut 'em up so they are smaller or curhs 'em up and put it in juice. Eventually you are going to have to learn how to swallow pills though.

Ikay, so i was on the phone with my BFF today (One really nice guy asked me out, but i just dont like him like that) Talking about the guy. my mom said what was that all about, because i sounded sad, because he told me it was fine that i said no, but he was actually really hung up about it. So i told her, and my mom knows his mom reallyyy well, so she said well just telll him ur parents dont let you date. cause we dont.
which is weird because i had a bf last year, and she was fine with it. And she said i couldnt date. But in my grade, dating isnt really dating, its just being really good friends. And now i am really mad because i just was about to ask out someone! ANd i cant talk to my mom about cz she wont listen, and it will b uncofortable....?!?! what to i doooo???
