Periods are a bummer, period. They make you feel terrible, cost money (hello, tampon runs!), and come at extremely inconvenient times. Unfortunately, though, there is no way to control when your little friend of the month comes to visit or doesn’t.

Girls who are on birth control are able to have a little more flexibility in deciding when they get their periods, but naturally there is no good way to say when. Sometimes, chicks that are stressed experience a slight change or delay in their cycle. Additionally, babes who bust their butts at the gym hardcore may deal with an occasional skipped period or two.

Make sure to pack the pads and take the tampons with you when you leave for your trip. Stash some Ibuprofen as well to help with the cramps and down plenty of H2O to combat the bloating. You’ll feel uncomfortable for a while, but you’ll be having so much fun you won’t even notice!
