Be an amazing kisser!

After the first date from heaven, the cutie you’ve been crushin’ on leans in for a kiss. It’s the moment you’ve been daydreaming about for weeks. Quick, what do you do?

Before you freak out, read on for our most sizzling smooching secrets. You won’t be disappointed—and neither will he.

Prep your pucker pre-date. Grab a washcloth or old toothbrush and gently rub your lips to get rid of the dead skin cells. Nobody wants to kiss chapped lips. Next, brush your teeth, floss and rinse with mouthwash. Avoid smelly foods, like garlic on a date, and keep mints handy. Swipe on your fave lip gloss and you’re good to go.

Make eye contact. Sure, going on a date with your crush can be totally nerve-wrecking, but if he’s totally diggin’ you and wants to lean in for a goodnight smooch, how will you ever know without reading his baby blues? This doesn’t mean ya have to stalker-stare him down all night, but make sure (if you want a kiss) to give him some opportunities with you body language to say it’s totally okay.

Less is more. Your BF doesn’t want to feel like he’s making out with his puppy when he’s kissing you, so make sure ya nix as much spit swapping as possible. Instead of always going full throttle, switch up your kisses between fast and slow to def leave him wanting more. Remember to alternate between sweet pecks, and (if you’re ready) a little bit of tongue.

Kiss him back. Sounds obvious, but it’s easy to forget what you’re supposed to do when your date goes in for a smooch. Kissing is meant to be between two people. It’s not up to the guy to do all the work. Respond to his kiss by parting your mouth slightly and matching his movements. This will help both of you get into a groove and create a kiss you’ll never forget.

Get lost in the moment.
Kissing is one of the few times when you get to use all of your senses at once. So close your eyes, run your fingers through his hair and stop thinking. It’s all about getting caught up in the moment—something you can’t do if you’re stressin’ over what you are and aren’t doing correctly. Most importantly, don’t forget to breathe and just have fun.
