So, what’s it like working with mostly guys?
“Well, I’m the only girl besides Beth, who plays [Tripp’s] mom, but she’s not here all the time. But, the [guys] are really cool. They’re kind of just like big brothers. They pick on me every day but I’ve gotten used to it now, so they’re a lot of fun.”
What’s the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for you?
“[A guy] got me tickets to an Avril Lavigne concert. It was fun. Random, but he didn’t go with me. He just got me the tickets. I went with my friend.”
Now Izzy is Tripp’s BFF on the show. What is your favorite thing about your best friend?
“She’s so honest with me and really loyal, and always has my back whenever I need anything. She’s just a really good person to talk to, and you can tell that she listens. That’s a big thing, when people listen and you can tell. They’re not just like, ‘Oh yeah, yeah, uh-huh, what?’”
What’s the best piece of advice she’s ever given you?
“Just to stay strong and not worry about things. And to not let things get to your head or bother you. Whether it’s girls, guys, family things, work, stay positive and strong.”
You appeared on Punk’d when you were younger, and tricked Rihanna. What was that like?
“It was crazy because
Punk’d isn’t scripted, obviously, so you’re like ‘Oh man, oh man, if I mess this up it’s all my fault,’ you know? But it worked out really well. Everyone was really cool. And, she was really cool about it afterwards. I actually saw her about a year after I did it. She was like, ‘You look familiar but not really.’ And I said, ‘I punk’d you.’ She then asked if she could take a picture with me and I was like, ‘[Uh] can I take a picture with you?!’ It was so funny.”
You’re originally from Texas. What’s the one thing you miss when you’re out in Los Angeles?
“The food and family, definitely. The Mexican food is amazing there. And the steaks are just--it’s Texas barbeque. I wish we could have food like that here. [One of my favorite Texan dishes is] fajita tacos. No one makes it like my dad, though. I tell my dad all the time that he should open up a restaurant, but he won’t do it!”
