Jeans are a staple of every girl’s wardrobe but, sigh, shopping for the right pair can be tough. Not all jeans were created equal, so here’s a guide to the best jeans for your body type.

Remember: If the jeans don’t fit, it has nothing to do with Y-O-U—all denim is cut a li’l diff and sometime ya gotta try on a bunch of pairs to get the best fit.

Slim

You’ve got the perfect figure to rock skinny jeans. They will make your legs look longer and your naturally thin legs will look shapely. Choose a dark wash for a chic look or a lighter wash to go casual.

Hourglass
You’re proportional and balanced, so you can wear any type of denim you want to show off your cute curves. Trouser jeans are flattering—and elongate your bod!

You carry more of your weight in your upper body, so seek jeans with some flare at the bottom to help balance ya out. A boot cut with a slightly higher waist will look absolutely amazing on ya!

If you’re petite on top with a curvier butt and thighs, go for boot-cut jeans or straight legs. Stay away from super flared jeans as well as skin-tight skinnies. Dark washes will provide an overall slimmer appearance to your bottom half.

Some helpful tips when looking for jeans:

-Go for a darker wash—they’re stylish and make everyone look fab.

The best jeans for your height and weight are probably boot cut or flare leg jeans. Instead of looking for jeans with low rise, try mid-rise - they hit just below your natural waist, so they aren't too high OR too low!

I'm not sure about this, but I would try places like Old Navy or the Gap. They have kids sizes that look more sophisticated than other stores, so they might find something that would work for you!

I don't really know what my body shape is! Haha, I know its weird. Its just in this article, you say that pear shapes shouldn't wear skinny jeans, but I look good in them actually even though I'm more curvier on my thighs. So what shape do you think I am? The upper side of my body is smaller though, like I have small boobs but big butts. But maybe thats because it runs through my family? It sounds like you may be a pear type, and in our fashion articles, we give generalizations about best jeans for different body types. However, every body is totally different so you may be able to work the skinnies! If you feel confident in them, go for it! As for your chest, there is still time for it to grow. It may be done growing and if so, that's A-OK! You get your body from genetics so rock who you are and be comfortable in your skin!

Try searching online for places that sell the jeans you're looking for. A lot of stores sell jeans of similar styles, so you can always try places like Forever 21, American Eagle, and Charlotte Russe to see if they have jeans like the ones you are looking for!

I'm trying to find some new jeans but none of the ones I've tried on seem to fit me well. My favorite pair of jeans is a Laguna skinny pair Hollister but I think they've changed the way their jeans fit. I weigh about 95ish pounds, I'm 13 years old, my jeans usually have about a 32" inseam and size 0 (I don't really have hips), and I think I have pretty slim thighs. Do you have any ideas on places to buy jeans and what style?

Hey Girl! Finding a good pair of jeans can always be super hard. Next time you're shopping, try asking someone to help you. I know that in Nordstroms the sales representatives are well trained to help you find the perfect pair. If Nordstroms is really expensive, go to the store and have them find a perfect style then go to a less expensive store and find a pair that is similar. Hope this helps! xo Lizzie

Another kind of jeans you could try is curvy cut at dillards. they are kinda expensive (its dillards) but they are so worth it. i love the way they fell, make me look, and they last just as long if not longer than an avarage pair of jeans.

hey so there's this guy at school, and he's really annoying. he is always trying to *make* it look like i like him but i really don't. i'm an artist and i take pictures ALL the time, and he always makes a huge deal out of it when i take pictures that have him in them or of him. it totally does not mean i like him. i take them of everyone. he's so full of himself, he thinks i switched to classes he's in on purpose, and once we were sharing a joke and i winked at him (i flirt with everyone, he's no different) and he made a huge deal out of it. my friend and i were making prank calls and we called him. he found out it was us and he called me a stalker (still does in fact) and he was really horrible about it. he's also mean and teasing. he calls me a tomboy (which i have nothing against, but i'm not one, see comment re: flirting above) and he really makes me mad. what should i do? and sorry it was so long. please answer.

I hear you, jeans can definitely be tough to find. The best way to go about it is to try on as many as possible. Certain jeans come in different lengths, which is awesome because then you can mix the length with the waist to get a pair that fits like a glove!

The best way to find out what to wear is to go to the store and try on a few different styles that are all very different from each other. Then you will get a sense of what looks good and what to stay away from.

Im 10 years old, weigh 85 pounds and i do gymnastics 3 times a week sometimes 4.I am not skinny but i am not fat im small on the top and my butt is medium sized and my thighs r like small.I like to where skinnys. I have about 9 pairs of them.Only 2 pair fit best.I am always losing weight and gaining muscule since i do gymnastics.I wanna get skin tight skinnys so if i do lose weight they will still nice.Where do u think i can find nice skinnys at? Hey girl, getting held back a grade is no reason not to like someone. He's probably not sharing because he is embarassed, but there are a lot of reasons he may have been held back. What matters is if he is a good guy who treats you well and you enjoy spending time with. If thats the case, then its not bad to like him at all!

okay so i have a huge probably and im really scared..i was friends with this girl for about a month. then she got mad at me and my best friends, for pretty much no reason. we tried apologizing to her and making things right but she didnt accept so we got in a huge fight, which included a lot of harsh words from all of us. and week after the fight she apologized to us and said that she got mad at us because her boyfriend dumped her. we didnt want to be friends with her again because of all the things she had said to us and spread around about us. so she got really mad and got her friend who we dont know to send us threat messenges on faceboook. im really scared that this girl is going to hurt us...what should i do? last night i was crying my eyes out i was so scared. sorry this is so long. also can you not post the question when you answer, just to be sure none of the girls see it. thankyou

Hi babes, AH i have the same problem. I have found that if I sit back in my seat and roll my shoulders back, I sit up straighter. You could also sit on one of those huge yoga balls at home because those promote great posture and core stability. xo JANA

I think I'm overeating.. Every morning I have a big breakfast and then around 12P.M. I have a healthy bag-lunch at school. Thing is, I often don't get home until 6 or 9P.M. because of play practice so I eat nothing from lunch til then. When I get home, I grab whatever candy I can find and eat more than one serving of stuff that would be healthier in moderation (mac n' cheese for example) even though I'm not super hungry.
I know I shouldn't do that because I'm just about to go to bed and have all those calories on me but it's hard to stop! What can I eat to satisfy cravings without feeling guilty??? Thanks!

Hey doll, for jeans try a boyfriend fit or slim fit jean. They are staight legged but not tight like skinny jeans. They look great on fit girls. For foundation...dont wear it. It is unnecessary. Just use a tiny bit of concealer to cover up any blemishes but leave the rest of your skin clean and fresh. xo JANA

Okay so my old best friend, now just friend, "liv" is vest friends with a girl named "kim". Now Liv (my bff) "Ali" and I were bffs. always together.

If they know there is an issue they'll be less likely to put you in a group with him or to assign you a seat near him. Hey babe, if you have curvy hips as well you could use the pear guide. If not, you're still considered slim. All bodies are different, and it's tough to fit into just one category! Your body may be 1/2 of one and 1/2 of another.

Hey again! I've tried the spray and it usually makes hair feel like straw after it's been in for awhile, but after one wash your hair will feel back to normal! I've never tried the gel, but if that's not as hardening, I'd try that!

I have some questions about my eyebrows. My eyebrow hairs grow across instead of up, so they're longer than they should be, and it's such a hassle trying to make them look half-way decent when I go out. I use powder to fill in the gaps, and clear mascara to hold them down, but they still don't look right. Do you have any suggestions? Also, is there a product that will help grow my eyebrows back? I mentioned the gaps, and I'd like them to be filled in with my own eyebrows. I know there's a new thing out (Loreal serum) that helps grow out eyelashes, would that work on my brows? Thanks.

Hey babe! I saw the add for the Loreal serum, but I think that's designed specifically for eye-lashes. You could try an eye pencil filler. (It's like eye liner for your brows) The eye-brow pencil will fill in the gaps, and for shaping them I suggest going to a nail-salon and getting them professionally waxed to get the right shape. Then after you get them shaped the way you like, you can continue the up-keep yourself!

You could try neon colored pants, or knee socks! And maybe three pony tails sticking out in random directions? Or going to the drugstore and getting temporary hair-color spray (like the kind girls use in soccer games).

just a thing about skinny jeans-
if you're super skinny (as in kids pants are too short but size 00 is still too big) DON'T WEAR SKINNY JEANS. if you're super skinny they will just make you look skinnier. go for straight leg.

Hey girl!

Close one eye at a time and try to draw the line as close to the lashes as you can (on top) and for the bottom u can even try going right over the lash line. Use your free hand to push the outside out our lid towards your ears to keep it from moving around. Hey babe! I like a gradual self tanner that is called : Jergens natural glow (foaming daily moisturizer) It's foam and very subtle, so it's not obvious and streaky! It depends on your skin tone. But if you have fair skin, I strongly suggest this one!

MODMODMOD! ok so my friend showed up one day about 4 months ago at school with cuts on her arm. she said that she just fell off of a fence. we believed her even though we thought she was lying. then 2 weeks ago she told me that she cut herself and it went really deep and that she was bleeding everywhere. i told her that she really shouldn't do that and she said ok... i covered for her when people asked about why she had a bandage on her arm. now this past week she was gone thursday, friday, monday, and today. i was really scared cuz she texted this guy that she was in the hospital. inside i knew what happened but i hadn't realized it. she didn't answer any of my phone calls or texts. today she finally did and she said that she tried to commit suicide and had to go to the hospital. (We were talking on the phone) i said why'd you do that and she said that they don't know why people do it. i'm really confused because she has a lot of good friends and even though she has a bad home life, i don't know why she would do it. it hurt me because i feel that i could've done something to stop it. what should i do?

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. You thought you were doing the right thing, and how did you know she wasn't telling you the truth? If that happens again, get help right away. The good news is that now doctors and her family know about her problem, so she could get professional help. Sit down and have a deep heart to heart with her and tell her how you are willing to hear anything and always be there for her to talk so she can talk to you instead of hurting herself. Hour glass= curvy chest and hips, thin waiste; apple=fit legs but tend to be bigger in the tummy and chest; pear=big hips and bottom (that's me!)... it's mainly all about where you tend to carry most of your body weight-- hope this helps!

Boots are way fashionable right now, so I've found that wearing leggings or skinny jeans with a comfy pair of boots evens out the difference between bigger thighs and smaller calves. Flair jeans can look cute with adidas or other casual-non-running tennis shoes. Converses are great with jeans, too. <3 The Mods
