Why isn't my body changing with my period?

 
I started my period months ago but haven’t seen any physical changes. Is this normal?

What’s normal? The five stages of puberty go like this:

1) Around age 8 to 11, hormones whir inside the body with no visible physical changes.
 
2) From 8 to 14, height and weight increase, breast buds form, and maybe pubic hair shows.
 
3) At 9 to 15, breasts continue to grow as pubic hair darkens, and menstruation may begin.
 
4) From 10 to 16, more pubic hair comes in, and periods become more regular.
 
5) At 12 to 19, full height is established as breast and pubic-hair growth end.

See the overlap in age ranges? Even if your bod doesn’t show it, healthy hormones are at work. Your period is proof!

Okay so it's official. I have my period Smile I've had it for about 3 or 4 months and they are perfectly fine!(: but I'm wondering why I don't have cramps and I don't bloat... I guess I'm lucky buuuut. it just seems weird.. Any idea why? Thanks Smile




Hey girl! You're completely normal. Everyone experiences PMS a little differently and often experience different symptoms different months, especially in the first few years of getting your period.  You're lucky!

I've had my period for a year. I'm 15 and I still dont have curves!! My waist is still the same size as my hips Tong Will I ever change??

 

Hey girlie, that's not something I can give you a definite answer on because there's no way to tell. You might or might not ever look much different than the way you do. Some girls don't have curves, but that's nothing to be ashamed or embarassed of. You're beautiful exactly the way you are!
