I don't like anybody in particular but I would like to send a message out to guys saying something like "OVER HERE, ME...YES, ME! I WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIRLFRIEND!!!!!! PICK ME OVER HERE! ! I'M TALL! HOW IS THAT? DO YOU LIKE TALL GIRLS?!!!!!!!!!!"

Carol, help!

I picked your letter, so passion and creativity count for something. But subtlety is eloquent too. While I understand your feelings (in fact, I remember them well), waving the desperation flag is rarely a good idea. Instead of broadcasting your general availability, how about trying to figure out which boys appeal to you the most? Don't just answer, "The popular ones."

You'll have a better chance of romance if you like a guy because he's interested in what you're interested in (whether that's Bono, your fave new movie, the sinking of the Titanic or the perfect pizza), rather than because he's already been pre-approved by everyone else. Once you do decide which specific guys you'd like to flirt with, get out there and smile and say hi and make eye contact and introduce yourself and give compliments. Picture dogs. Don't we all kind of prefer the tail-wagging sweet ones rather than the jumping, slobbering, scratching kind that sniff where they shouldn't? Bottom line: Be patient, not overeager, and things will work out.

Hey Girl! Don't let them bring you down. Take pride in your look, my hair is the same color and I love it! I know it sounds silly and you've probably been told this already, but if you love yourself and are superconfident in your awesome hair color, whatever they have to say won't matter. They'll realize they are wasting their time with negative energy.

Make a type of guy your attracted to. Whethter you like funny or smart. Don't be all over anyone unless you know he's a good guy to be with.

Some guys dont notice you becuase you don't put yourself out in the way that makes them feel like that. Flirt! Flirting is a way to get to know guys not just for a crush. Talk to them. BE silly, not stupid. Come out of your shell. Go up to a guy and just say hello even if they are just standing behind you. Dress your best. Try to stand out more. Ask for numbers! It's flirting in the most simplist ways possible.

Don't say it in a mean way, but make sure that he understands what this means. He wants to wait (which is totally cool, a choice you should respect!), but he should understand that you can go out with other people in that time. Still, it might be better to wait since you're moving - you can start completely fresh at your new school and not worry about being flirty or getting to know the guys there! I know you really like this guy but you gotta respect him. In the meantime, have fun and enjoy yourself! There's no sense in putting your life on hold.

Hey chica, maybe he was waiting for you to make a move, and since you didn't he probably gave up on you two. Although he's ignoring you right now, I think he still has feelings for you, he's just a little confused. Try talking to him again. Hey chicky, yes boys are sooo confusing. Just remember that some boys are naturaly flirts, so their actions come off as affection when really they're just being themselves. So no worries, you're still his number one gal!

The only way you can know for sure if he likes you = if he tells you! In the meantime, you can totally flirt to convince him that you like him. Flirting just means conversation that is a bit more playful than normal - give him compliments, laugh, and respond in ways that invites him to compliment you back. There's no real science of flirting...you just gotta go with your gut!

The awkward part - your BFF telling him you like him - is over now, so there's nothing you can do there. Just be cool and chat with him like you always did before. Now that he knows you like him, don't waste the chance to get to know him better just because you feel a little tense!

All right, I desperately need some advice. My sister is 15 and has been going a little to far with boys. She does things I cringe at just thinking about! Her last relationship ended BADLY. Her now ex said he was going to get his friends to jump her and her friends (including me, the almost 13 year old.)The guy-I should say man- she is with now is 27! Thats almost twice her age! She sneaks out at like 3 in the morning to see him sometimes. She has been in his car (That SO bugs me!) and Im afraid he'll do something to her. Every night they're on the phone and sense we share the same room, I hear them and can never sleep. She knows how I feel, but doesn't care. What should I do- and don't say tell your parents because my sister and I are to close and I could never do that.

Hey girl, I think the biggest thing is that you try to solve problems but when you tell your friends how you really feel, you assume the relationship is over. I say you give your friends a couple days to take in what you said and then tell them you still really want to be friends. Realize friendships require work on both ends, but if the three of you work together, you can be closer friends than ever. Don't give up on your friends.

MOD MOD MOD So my friends and I are all pretty open with telling eeach other who we like, which is great. The thing is, right after someone admits who they like, the other friends act all giggly around that particular guy. For example, I recently told my friends i kinda liked this guy,but then i changed my mind and told them i didn't. My art teacher read this poem i wrote for Remembrance Day and she loved it so it got read at the assembly. I was really proud but i told everyone it was nothing. ok i like this guy that sits next to me sometime and i caught him today looking at me for several times but he is older than me in two years and he always jokes with other girls but not me he is always gentle with me does that mean he likes me or he doesent want to talk to me plzz help

sorry this is kinda long but its a crazzyyy story! about a month 1/2 ago i started liking this super amazing guy. im homeschooled but i go to all the bball stuff at his school and all my friends go there. anyways. i kept it a secret for about 2 weeks then i told my closest friends, etc. my bgf is a big talker and about 3 weeks ago he told my crush that i like him. the bad part is that even though he is gonna b 14 in a couple of months he isnt in2 girls like that yet. or at least thats what he says. he told my bgf "well she doesnt rly have a chance now because im not in2 girls like that yet." i understood and wasnt too terribly disaapointed cuz i knida knew that already. anyways... more people started finding out and now the whole middle school pretty much knows. everyone always gives me weird looks or calls me a flirt whenever i try to talk to him and its getting really annoying. i want to get to know him better but im sick of all the comments! ive tried telling people that im over him but since i just started liking him it isnt working very well. what should i do? also what are some good cute conversation starters????? thanks!!!!! britt

People are always gonna talk about stuff - it's, unfortunately, how we're programmed. But don't let other people ruin your chances at getting to know your crush! That's great you understand that he isn't ready to like girls or date yet, so keep the convo light-hearted. Talk about his latest bball game or what crazy stuff just happened on his fave TV show. Ask him questions about what he likes, his friends, etc. Just focus on being friends right now
