Best Way to Curl
Sure, eyelash curlers look kinda scary, but there’s no reason to be nervous. Apply your eye shadow and eyeliner like you do every day, but don't do your mascara just yet!

How to: First, open the lash curler and place your upper lashes in between. Move the curler up to the base of your lashes—but not far enough to be over your skin (ouch!). Slowly close the eyelash curler, then hold it closed for a few seconds. Once your eyelashes get a little shape, put on your mascara and let it dry. This makes your lashes look as long and thick as possible—score!

Kill Clumps
After Halloween, spidery lashes are a total no go. Carefully wipe your mascara wand on a tissue before to apply to get rid of excess product.

When taking makeup off your lashes, never wipe, pull or scrub too hard! Apply some makeup remover to a cotton circle. Gently sweep across your lash line—not up your lashes—and clean until all of the mascara has been removed. Remember: never go to bed with mascara on.

Hey girl!

It's super important to remove makeup and wash your face every night before bed. Not only is it good to do that for your skin, but also for your eyes. Leaving on eyeliner or mascara can make your eyes itchy and irritated. Also, after years of leaving mascara on at night, eyelashes tend to fall out! So make sure you find a good eye make-up remover (my fave is Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover) and a good face wash to keep the oil and dirt out of your skin!

r sparkly/beaded tops in this spring or r they more fall/winter than spring/summer?

They work for both. Winter is better for tops that are dark or jewel tones, and spring is better for tops that are bright and lighter colors. xoxo kerra

Hey chica, I don't pluck my eyelashes, but I guess it's best to do it with a tweezer. I got my ears pierced when I was a baby, so I guess once I got old enough.

My lash lengthing trick is to put Vaseline on them before bed. Don't do it during the day or else they'll look super greasy and gross! Trust me. When you wake up in the morning, apply your make up as normal. When you put on your mascara, your lashes should look longer. The Vaseline makes them flexible so the mascara brush will stretch them out. It totes works! I do it all the time.

Hey darlin, you can get lashes that just go on the last half of your eyelid. Get those over the lashes that run the full length. They will give you that almond shaped retro look. They come with direction, I have never worn them. xo JANA

Hey girl!

When it comes to makeup, less is more. It's super cute to wear natural colors that bring out your eyes and skin tone, without being too crazy! Bright blue eyeshadow and hot pink lipstick usually don't work so well. Try some bronze/brown/gold eyeshadows to give your eyes a shimmer and make them stand out. Bronzer can be good when blended well with your skin so that it doesn't make your skin look too orange! A light pink blush is pretty on anyone and lip gloss is super cute and brings the look together!

I really want 2 dress cute this summer. Any ideas for hair & clothes? I am a beach blond and I will b getting a spray tan b4 summer 2. (I'm waaaaaaay too pale for a natural tan, plus natural ones r dangerous) OH! And I need some good makeup tips. Hey girl, one thing you should know about Maine is that even in the summer, it is not nearly as warm as Cali! So be sure to keep some cute cardigans and and sweatshirts on hand for when the temperatures are a little chilly. In the summer, I'm all about sundresses and skirts, so those are always my suggestions! Keep your hair and make-up simple since you're probably going to be spending a lot of time outside in Maine, and way to go with the spray tan girl! Natural tans are always bad news. I'm sure you'll look smashing all summer long!

Hey girly, apply two different shades of brown eyeshadow. Start off with the darker shade and apply it to the top part of your eye and put the lighter shade underneath that. Use a brush to mix both shades together. Apply some mascara and eyeliner and you're good to go!

MOD MOD MOD I'm going to Italy this summer with my girl scout troop and we're walking almost everywhere. I'm planning on wearing sundresses almost the whole time cuz it's supposed to be really hot (especially in Rome). But since we're walking a ton that means i have to wear sneakers but sneakers won't look good with a dress right? so i was wondering if you had any ideas of any cute sneakers or shoes with support (not open toed either) that might look cute with a dress. I was thinking about chucks or something but they have like no support so they won't work. thanks a lot!!!

Hey girlfriend, you're soooo lucky! I wish I was going to Italy, such a beautiful place! Tennis shoes can look cute with dresses, it just depends on which type of shoe. Converse and Keds look great with sundresses. Head to Journeys, Payless and Urban Outfitters to pick some up. For more support look for running shoes , like new balance and sports shoes like Nike.

great lash mascara by maybelline is by far the best, many experts say so. for brown eyes, you should use the brownish black to really bring out your natural eye color. if you have any questions about makeup, hair, clothes or anything else, plz come to me for the best advice.

ive only used two mascaras- clinique which was a long time ago and covergirl which is pretty good. another thing i tried a while ago because i used to like the 'natural' look but wanted long lashes was to completely clean a hair mascara bottle out and just use the brush without the gunk. it acutally worked

If you ever need eyelashes that are so thick they look like really nice fake eyelashes, try the Colossal mascara. I don't use it, but I know people who do, and it works REALLY well.

I'll bet that texting and having time to decide exactly what he's going to say makes you BF more comfortable than talking in person (he could be shy!). Can you try hanging out in person more often? It might make things more comfy between ya. As for his birthday, try getting him a cool CD or a shirt you know he'd dig. But the most important thing will be the effort you put into it - he could like a card and some cookies even more, as long as you made them!

Under the make-up remover description, it says "never go to bed with mascara on." What will happen if you DO go to bed with mascara on? Can it damage your eyes somehow?

Not your eyes, but your eyelashes. Leaving mascara on them can make them brittle, which could make them break faster. If you wanna keep those lush lashes, make sure you take off your makeup!

MOD~ hi!i was wondering if you can help me find a good mascara. i only have one kind of mascara and it always makes my lashes look spidery and spiky! my lashes are pretty long, thick, and dark but they're straight! i have an eyelash curler but i was wonderring what i can do to make them look feathery instead of spidery! thanks!
