There’s no doubt that bangs are a girly, fun way to wear your hair, but the growing-out phase can be annoying. It’s hard not to want to tear your hair out when you’re goin’ fring-free.

But there’s plenty of ways to send your old hairstyle out with a bang. Here’s how to make grow-out time as stylish as ever!

Clip ‘em
Accessorize your strands! Pull your bangs out of your face in small portions and secure them with a simple bobby pin, a cute barrette or an embellished clip. You might need a couple pins, depending on how thick your bangs are, but this is a cute and fast fix.

Hide & Seek
Let your forehead see the sun by tucking your fringe under a headband. Use a dab of pomade or styling wax to smooth your bangs back with the rest of your hair, then slide the headband over top. No one will even know they’re hiding under there.

Swept Away

Wanna keep rockin’ those bangs but don’t want them quite so blunt? Have the best of both worlds with side-swept fringe. While your locks are still wet, part your hair on the side. Blow strands out with a round brush, making sure to sweep bangs to one side. Pin 'em off to the side to keep the shape pretty!

Unfortunately, there is not really anything you can do to make it grow faster - your body just grows it at its own pace. Still, eating well and getting regualr trims will keep your hair healthy, and that will help in the long run! Happy growing!

OK so i cut my eye-length bangs like a year ago and now they are just spiky 1 inch stubs! i cant wear a ponytail because they are so weird looking! got any ideas to hide it?

Well one thing is to never cut your hair down to the roots cuz its just going to grow out and be really awkward til its a good length. Also the only thing you can do is to get some clips to clip it back, Good luck! xoxo kerra

THE OUTFIT: mini denim skirt with leggings. 4 the top u shuld do a flower cami with a cropped cardigan (try american eagle)

What if you try side-swept bangs first and see how they look? Side-swept bangs can easily be turned into straight-across bangs with just a couple snips of the scissors... that way, if you decide they aren't for you, you can change 'em right away!

MODMODMODMOD! I have one friend who's really annoying. I can't confront her, because she's like... obsessed with me. We laugh a lot and I love her to pieces, but recently my other friend from last year told me she feels like an outsider and excluded because of my new friend (the annoying one). I wrote my old friend a long letter apoligizing and saying I would do better, and I want to make good on my promise. My new friend is impossible to hurt because like I said, I love her to pieces, but I really don't want to be that great of friends with her anymore because I found the group of peeps I truly fit in with. She follows me everywhere, I smuggle her outside every morning where she's not supposed to go (she's a year younger) and now it's become routine. I can't just tell her not to. Problem #2- I went out with this guy for about a month, 2 weeks of which was winter break so it doesn't count. He really liked me and I didn't like him very much. I felt bad about that, so I broke up with him. He follows my friends and I kind of, and he still hugs me like he did when we were together. It makes me uncomfortable. It's really hard for me to stand up to people and tell them to back off, so I don't know what my options are. He walks large circles around my group of friends sometimes and when we try to get away he comes and talks to them and stands next to me. I always move to the oter side of the circle because I'm uncomfortable and I am not into relationships that drag on forever. We've been apart for about a month and a half now, and just today a group of his friends came up to me and say "You went out with X, right?" and I was like "Yes..." because I saw he was over where they had came from and they asked me why I brojke up with him. Clearly, he wants it back, and I don't. I don't want any of it. What do I do? Sorry it's so long.

That is part of growing up with a sis! Your mom is right, she really does love you and look up to you. So first off, always be a good role model cause i bet she pays attention to all you do! Second, other than asking NICELY for your sis to stop, there's not much you can do. Maybe try talking to her about a bunch of different celebs that way she picks her fave out of your top 5, instead of your exact one! Oh and her style will change soon. How do you make your hair look good ( I prefer straight hair), when it's SUPER-curly on the bottom and pretty darn straight on the top?! My hair is thick too, so it takes FOREVER to dry it with a blow dryer. HELP! I need some advice to help my hair look good!

Hey girl!

If you like straight hair, try using a wet-dry straightener that will dry your hair and straighten it at the same time. (Conair makes one that isn't too expensive!) This way you will be able to dry and straighten it in a short period of time and it won't take as long! But sometimes this can damage your hair, so I wouldn't do it every day. If you straighten it, you could keep it that way for 2 days, so it will cause less damage.

Hey girl, it's hard to say but you could always try sidebangs. They work pretty well for most people, and they're easy to hide or grow out if you get sick of them. Try going to a free makeover website where you can upload a picture of your face and try on different hairstyles. Its a lot of fun and a good way to tell what you'll look like!

Hey girl, sorry about that. We get so many questions and comments that its hard to answer them all and sometimes we miss them. I think that sidebangs work well for everyone and are easy to grow out or hide if you get tired of them. Personally, I've had pretty much the same hairstlye since I was a kid, but there are tons of free websites that let you upload your picture and try on different hairstyles, even letting you change the haircolor. Its a lot of fun and the best way to see what you'll look with a different style without the commitment. Good luck girl!

Hey darlin, fortunately sleepovers arent that expensive, you can order pizzas and watch romantic movies and make cupcakes. Simple. To have your friends get along do things that are group activities, maybe play a game and choose teams randomly so they have to work together and get to know each other...like scattegories. xo JANA

i've decided to grow out my highlights in my hair. there sort of like a carmel color, w/ light brown hair. but i was wondering, i dont want my hair 2 look bad while im growing them out! because won't it be noticable? or will my highlights slowly start 2 fade away too... thanks

Hey babes, it depends on how light the highlights are, if they are really subtle it will grow out and nobody will notice. A lighter brown is probably better than if you have bleach blonde highlights. xo JANA
