Already swooning for Sterling? Wait till you hear his voice.
Sterling Knight showcases his vocals in the soundtrack to
the Disney Channel Original Movie StarStruck. We got to check out the jams
before they hit stores February 9, here’s what we think!
The entire CD has a pop heartthrob feel that’ll make you
melt for Sterling. Warning: the tunes are very catchy. Expect to have several
songs stuck in your head after listening, especially the title track
“Starstruck.”
Some of the other songs, like “Shades” and “Party Up,” will
get you dancing. Brandon Michael Smith from Disney Channel’s Sonny With A
Chance adds some hyped hip-hop flavor to these songs too.
Other songs on the soundtrack, like “Something About the
Sunshine,” will make you feel like you’re driving down the Sunset Strip in
Hollywood looking like a movie star. The song is actually a duet between
Sterling and newly signed Disney Record’s artist, 13-year-old Anna Margaret.
Any fan of pop will love Sterling singing “What You Mean To
Me” and his unplugged version of “Hero.” Sterling isn’t just a pop star on the
album, he rocks out a little bit more in the unplugged version with just his
voice and an acoustic guitar. “Got to Believe” is a track where he’s going for
more of an emo/alternative sound stepping away from the boy band scene.
Hannah Montana star Mitchell Musso also gets in on the
groove with the bonus track “Welcome to Hollywood,” a definite rock star
jam. The soundtrack caps off with
the song “Make a Movie,” co-written by 15-year-old Jasmine Sagginario, winner
of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing.
Pick up the CD in stores on February 9, and
don’t forget to see them perform in the movie on the Disney Channel Sunday,
February 14 at 8pm.
What do you ladies think of Sterling’s voice? Are you going
to watch StarStruck?
