Twin Troubles and More!

I have a problem. I have two friends (they're twins), and I'm really good friends with them. We are all like BFFs. In our group with some other girls, there are two chicas that I don't really like that much. They act kind of sarcastically towards me. But the twins like to hang out with them, and always invite them over when I go to their house.

Should I confront the twins about inviting them wherever I go or confront the mean girls about being rude?

-Bootylicious'

Bootylicious,

I’m sorry those girls are so rude to you! It’s great that you have the guts to confront everyone, and I think you should. Start with the girls who mistreat you. When you talk to them, let them know that the way they talk to you hurts your feelings. They may not even realize they’re doing it. Give them specific examples of the hurtful things they’ve said, so they can understand exactly what you mean.

Let them have some time to change (I hope they do!). After a little while, if they’re still putting you down, it’s time to confront the twins. Be mature about it and talk to them separately. Remember that they are two different people and one may be more understanding than the other. Explain how the girls make you feel and that you don’t like when the twins invite them over. Make sure to point out that you’ve already talked to the other girls, and they’ve yet to change.

Don’t ask the twins to NOT hang out with those girls anymore, just ask that they respect your feelings and not invite them over when you’re around! Remember that good friends would never want to hurt your feelings or see someone else hurt them either. If you do realize that none of these girls are true friends, move on. They aren’t worth your time, girl! You are awesome and definitely don’t deserve to be treated like that. Good luck!

Peace Out,
Cassie
