Mod ~ I live in the country and all of my friends live in town-I have no access to them! They're all having their "bonding time", while I'm sitting here petting my only friends: my cats. Plus, this girl was my friend, but now she's turning popular because we both joined track and she got number one in nearly everything she did; while I lost about every single race. I don't know if I should do track again, because I was almost the worst person on the team. I know this is a lot, but could you help me?




You should try a different sport where you can make friends and also do a bit better. Or keep trying at track and see if you can improve. As for your friends try to invite them over to your house and be outgoing. Try your hardest to make plans with them. Good luck! xoxo kerra

my mom won't let me put out flyers for babysitting, and I have been giving out business cards but no one answers to them, and I even have Red cross training and I passed and it says that on the card!!!! so how can I get people to babysit for????? oh and one more question, how much should I charge an hour, I can't ask other friends cause none of them babysit, ??? thanks!!




Hey girl, try to find a neighbor, a family friend, or someone who you know or your parents know that you can babysit for. Usually when you get one family to babysit for they'll stick with you. Talk to your mom about how much you should charge, but usually the family who you're babysitting for will pay you an amount they see as fit. Good luck!

1. is it norm to like sleeping with only bra and undies in the summer?
2. i have to start a camp tomorrow and i KNOW that there is going to be like a billion kids younger than me because my bros that are 6 and 10 know 5 people and my popular younger 10 year old sister knows 8 people! I am 12 what do I do!

My parents make me have a babysitter. she is 13 and ill be 12 next month(we go to the same middle school).its awkward. she makes me ake naps, watch barney videos that she brings, and washes me in the bath. at school, she still acts like shes in charge of me and evrybody laughs at school, she wrote an essay that she read at a school assembly about her babysitting job and about the challenges of watching her adorable and troublemaking charge....ME. SHE CAME TO MY BIRTHDAY PARTY, THE WHLE SCHOOL DID, and she bought me little foot undies. help! shes actually watching me right now and shes fixing dinner(im supposed to be taking a nap)

 

Wow, she sounds annoying.  If you're parents don't want you staying home
by yourself, point out to them that your babysitter is basically the
same age as you and your friends.  Ask them if, instead of having a
babysitter when they go out, you can have a friend over to keep you
company.  You should also tell the babysitter that you wanted to be
treated like the age you are.

ok so im being a mothers help tomoro and im doing it 4 my aunt shes got a 6 year old and twin 8 month olds and i want some money for it because i mean im taking out some time of my summer and such also im also gonna be a babysitter/mothers helper this week end im going with my grandma cause u have to have more than 1 person or else its too hard so ya and i want some money for that too but idk how much to charge like do u think $5 an hour cause i wont be full time but ya and she'll prob have 1 or both of the babies cause i can handle the 6 year old and a baby cause the baby i can just hold most of the time I've got plenty experience cause ever since i was bout 7 ive been a mothers helper and ive babysat for them a couple times and ive babysat for others im 12 also

Hey girl, honestly, you can't demand money like that. That's just a little rude. Pay is a sensitive thing especially when it comes to family. I would just do it for free right now and as a favor to your aunt and realize this will give you experience. After a while, you can babysit neighbor's kids and then let them set a going rate -- or come up with a reasonable one yourself.

MOD MOD MOD so im babysitting these 2 little girls on saturday and ones 5 years old and ones 8 months old... i still want to play with the 5 year old but clearly i cant just leave the 8 month old by her self... what can i do to entertain both of them?

 

Hey girly, you could always pop a kiddie movie in for the 5 year old while you tend to the little 8 month old. The baby would be happy with a nice toy to play with, while you play dolls or tea party with the 5 year old. Keep them both in the same room so you don't have to run back and forth to check on both of them. Smile

ok so i am 15 and i am babysitting this little girl that is 3 on saturday from 8am to 7pm and on sunday from 8am to 6am what should i charge for each day? i have no clue and i dont want to charge too much

Hey girl,

Every family is different, it depends on the child's age and hours. But since it's a young child and you're babysitting long hours, an average price would probably be $8 an hour. Sometimes parents also take into occassion the age and experience of the babysitter, so it should be a negotiation between the two. Ask your mom or dad if they have any advice!

I'm so happy that I'm not an official 'babysitter' yet. I'm still more of a 'mother's helper'. I go to my aunt's bible study every Friday and watch the kids there, and it's fun. I love kids, and they often love me, too! I just stink at cooking, so I'm just happy I don't have to worry about it until next year, when I'll be old enough to really babysit and parents might make me cook. Let's just say I can only cook scrambled eggs and store-bought cookies right now!

MOD MOD MOD MOD! Okay, so i just got a review on my story. I started my stories there to get better at writing. A lot of people like my story and I got eight AWESOME reviews! I was so happy... Until this guy broke the streak saying, 'ok.' I know it's nothing personal... but it's been bugging me ever since. I really need help with responding to bad reviews, so when the time comes, I won't be afraid to answer them. I don't care if he really doesn't like it, but I want to improve! Being a better writer is my top priority. Thank you so much. =D

I know that getting a bad (or even so-so) review can be a bummer.  First, remember that it sounds like you've gotten a lot more good ones than bad ones!  If someone criticizes your work and gives you advice that will help you improve, then consider it a good thing.  If they don't, remember that everyone has different tastes, so you can't please everyone.  That's just part of being a unique and ambitious writer.

This sounds really weird but a relative whos a year older than me is staying with my family for a while. She eats in a really gross way. That sounds mean, but she seriously eats like a pig. And sometimes she's just so clueless and annoying without trying. I can't stand it, it makes me want to never eat again. I sound like a terrible person but it's really bothering me! What do i do without seeming rude??




Hey girl, that's a tough sitch. If you're uncomfy talking to her about it, try talking to another trusted family member, maybe they can say something for you (if they're a more comfortable adult).

Hey babe! Just be yourself, don't let them walk all over you, so set the rules but still have fun!  If it's nice out you could play outside, maybe make crafts or play with games that they have at their house!

Mod~ Spring Break started today and I want to do something outside because it is really nice out. We got rid of our trampoline and all we have is a swingset. I don't know what else to do. Have any ideas?

Call up one of your friends, take a walk outside, and head to a park! Yeah, we all may feel a little hold to swing on the swings, but it's still fun so who cares! Maybe walk to a local deli or ice cream place and get a snack. Warm weather is so fun so why stay inside when you're on a break from school? Have fun darling!
