It’s finally warming up outside, and we can totally feel spring on the way. With dances just around the corner, sports picking up the pace and plenty of time in the sun, it’s time to start paying extra-close attention to that skin.
 
Here are our best-ever tips for a perfectly healthy complexion:

Start by eating grub that’s especially awesome for your skin. Foods that are stacked in antioxidants (like berries and carrots) and fish are a fab start. So are downing seeds, nuts, beans and spices and drinking plenty of water.

Washing your face before bed (and after sports practice) is key for getting rid of makeup and sweat. You’ll be less likely to get clogged pores and dull skin. You don’t have to exfoliate daily or use a super-strong cleanser. A mild wash will get rid of the dirt without hurting your delicate face.

Stock up on sunscreen now! Make sure you’re using a moisturizer with SPF in the morning and reapply before you go out for practice. Not only are sunburns painful and lead to wrinkles when you’re older, but too much sun time can cause skin cancer down the road as well.

ive used lots of acne medications (not perscription)but they seem to only work for about a week or two. i eat pretty healthy but i dont drink a lot of water..... any tips?




Hey girl, water helps a lot! Start drinking a lot more. It cleanses the body and definitely helps in the skin department. Have you tried Proactiv? It's definitely one of the best skin care sets that isn't prescription.

Are cucumbers and tomato mozzerella bad for your skin? Also do u have any idea of how to keep my
skin clear without using anything heavy on my skin? My skin is really sensitive so what should
I cut out of my diet?




Hey girl, there are a lot of gentle face washes out there. I know cetaphil has a bunch of all types of skin, works pretty well. - And honestly, I've never heard of either of those things being bad for your skin. After all they do use cucumbers during facials sometimes. I would try cutting out a bit of chocolate, that always makes me break out.

kay so i am 12, gonna be 13 in may, and i have weird skin issues. my skin looks great, but i have to put on concealer and bare minerals powder bcuz i dont have zits, but i have scars ( a few light and a few red) and they are flat to my face, but they look terrible. im really tired of wearing face makeup, and most of the girls in my grade dont. help!!! what should i do??




Hey girl, I think the best bet is to stick with the bare minerals powder. Unfortunately theres not all that much you can do about scars.

Or girlies! My school is having another semi (:S) a spring one and I need a dress. I'm 5'4", slim athletic build, and long legs for my height. I have olive skin and dark hair to my collarbone. Any ideas on dresses?




Hey girl, I would try a bright color. I've been leaning towards those dresses myself. Try a luxurious purple or light blue. I would def go with a halter strap. Love those!
