Guys Were Checking Me Out!

 

I was out of town for spring break with my family and noticed a lot of guys checking me out.


Now that I’m home, I want to tell my friends how silly guys look when they gawk at me. How do I do that without bragging?


Dear Don’t Want to Boast,

If your inner censor tells you to beware, listen. When a girl goes on and on about guys checking her out, it makes other girls feel less confident about themselves.


It won’t make them like you any extra, either. While it’s nice to be noticed, keep that good feeling to yourself. You can even say, “I met some cute boys.” But if you say anything even close to “I got checked out,” that’s not sharing—that’s boasting, which you say you don’t want to do.

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD Hi I am going to Washington D.C in a few weeks with my grade! The principal said we can wear some makeup and I really want to wear some, but I don't have any so I have to ask my mom, but I really don't want to. She's offered me some before, but I always said no (I've never really wanted to wear it before). I also asked her once, but then she said maybe someday. I was thinking of just buying some (just mascara, maybe eyeliner) when I go to Target or something. Or there is a bag of Victoria's Secret stuff she were going to give as a bday prez for my cousin(mascara and lotion) we got free but the bag has been torn by my dog, so I was just thinking of taking that. I would feel bad if my mom didn't know I took it or bought some, but it is a really awkward subject! What should I do?

 

Hey girl!  It's def important that you talk to your mom first.  If she's offered you before, then she's probably totally comfortable with talking about it.  Ask her if she can help you pick out a few things to try out on your trip! xoxo

MOD MOD MOD ok so i need help finding which college will be right for me when the time comes do you know of any tests that will help determine wat career i should do and a website or source that gives info on colleges????

 

Hey girl!  This link:  http://www.girlslife.com/category/best-of-advice.aspx  has some great articles about careers that might be a fun start on your search.  But I would def suggest talking to the counselor at your school.  They've always got lots of resources and tips for looking at colleges and thinking about careers.  xoxo
