Can’t do a full face of makeup to save your life? No worries, you so don’t have to. But there are a couple of tricks so classic, every girl should know.
Got a date? Call in the smoldering, lavender shadow. Got a job interview? A sheer pink mani adds polish. Keep reading and look totally gorge this spring!
A Smoky Purple Eye
Shades of lilac are a great way to do gradual shadow. It’s way less dramatic than black, which means you can wear it to dinner and date nights.
First, apply dark purple eyeliner along your upper lashline.
Sweep a medium plum shadow over your whole eyelid, then blend a bit of deeper purple shadow into your crease. Brush a sheer lilac shade to under your brow bone.
Finish with two coats of black mascara for a look that’s mysterious and totally pretty.
If only a li'l bit of coverage is what you need, stick with a tinted moisturizer. Smooth it on all over your face just like normal face lotion. The only difference? Make sure you blend out at your jaw line to avoid tell-tale lines.
We like this concealer duo. It has a green-based formula to nix redness (think: pimples) and a flesh-toned hue that works to kill undereye circles. Apply a light layer with your finger, after you’ve washed your face and moisturized.
Next, use a large brush to sweep mineral powder over top. This will set your makeup for the whole day and leave your skin looking shine--and blemish--free. Gorgeous!
A Perfect 10-Minute Mani
A soft pink manicure is effortlessly chic and perf for times when black (or electric blue) nails just aren’t gonna cut it (like, say, honor society inductions).
Shape your nails with a nail file to make them all the same length. Rinse hands and apply base coat. Apply one coat of ballerina pink polish. Let it dry. If you’ve got time, do another coat.
Then, apply top coat and let it dry for a few minutes. Gotta jet? Run hands under ice water. The best part? The light color totally hides chips!
