I can't fall asleep

It takes me over an hour to fall asleep after my head hits the pillow. Is something wrong?

Relax. Literally. Most likely, you aren’t getting enough down time before hitting the sheets. Many teens expect to zoom through homework, IMs and MTV, then zonk right out at bedtime. That’s not how falling into a peaceful slumber works.

Before beddie-bye, settle down by having a light snack, listening to mellow music or reading a book. Dr. Judith Owens, author of Take Charge of Your Child’s Sleep, explains that a nightly routine triggers your bod and brain that it’s time to get some zzz’s. Avoid watching the tube—that keeps you wired.

If you can’t fall asleep within a half hour of crawling under the covers, get out of bed—you don’t want to associate lying in bed with being awake. Get up and read a boring book (give War and Peace a shot), and hop back into the sack when you feel pooped. Sweet dreams.

I used to have this problem now I do the same thing every night to acheive a normal sleep routine and it has been working great I also go to bed around 8:00 and fall aslepp at around 9:00 on shcool nights because I get exausted without enough sleep

MODMODMODMOD ive been told i have had really thin hair for about 4 years now...about the same time i cut my hair really short and bleached it. but no the bleach has almost all come out and my hair is getting longer and people are saying its thicker. is that possible, the longer your hair the thicker it is???

 

Hey girl, hair can seem thicker or thinner from day to day depending on all sorts of things like the weather, products you use, or even just how you slept on it, so its entirely possible that you hair is looking thicker lately.

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!!!!!!!!! I have a question. i drink a glass of orange juice right befor i go to bed every night is that good or bad for my body???????? its the low calorie one too..

 

Hey babe, A little orange juice is good for you because it has tons of vitamins, but drinking too much can damage your esophogus because it also has a lot of acid in it. Just drink small glasses and it should be fine.
