Could I have Huge Boob Syndrome?

 
My breasts are growing too fast! I’m in ninth grade and already need a 38DD. My mom is a 36B, so I can’t go by her. I’m the genetic freak in my family.

We searched everywhere for info on Huge Boob Syndrome. There was nothing in Gray’s Anatomy, nor on the Web. And none of our experts have heard of it. There is no such thing as Huge Boob Syndrome—and we’re guessing you already know that.

You are probably healthy and normal, but you should see your pediatrician or gynecologist to make sure. In very rare cases, too much growth hormone can make one body part grow excessively. So even though your mom is a 36B, ask for her, um, support. She can help you find the best bras—you need good ones because large breasts are linked to back problems.

Remember that all kinds of boobs are beautiful, and many not-as-chest-blessed girls envy you.

im 12 and i got my first bra which was a 32c i wad in fourth grade! my dad bought it gross(mom died) my dad im a 32ddd all the boys stare and touch them. did i tell u that we hv to wear sports bras to PE and i live by my crush so i went to the beach whith him. all he did was stare,stare,stare at my boobs im going into bigger bras now:-(

So I am 11 and my older sister always makes fun of me for being flat chested. Everyone was worring that I hade this weird sydrom when you don't grow. So I grew a lot and so did my breasts. So I went from no bra to a bra. Well I grew a lot. Me and my mom went shopping the other day and she picked out 32's and 32A's for me and they fit. Well some were underwire bras. When I went to school boys were saying I stuffed. We have a boy/sneaking into the girlas shower room problem at my school. The boys wanted to know the truth and when I was getting changed the peeked. Frown I was so embaresed. Now the boys are being jerks. How to get over this problem. Also do I have small breasts?

So I'm 13 and I'm still pretty much flat! I'm 5'2", 90 lbs- but I'm only a 32 A and everyone else is at least a 32 B. Is this normal? Also, most of my family members are around a 34 A-34 B. Will I stay a 32A forever or will they grow a bit more?

 

hey girl! it's impossible to know if they'll grow more, but they probs will. You're only 13, and breasts don't stop growing until you're in your early twenties! Give it time, they'll develop Smile

Honestly I completely understand why you feel like this. Media has created these image of girls who stuff their bras and wear push up bras with low cut shirts for attention from boys. And maybe that's what they're doing. But you wouldn't want someone to look at you and go "omg her huge boobs annoy me so much. Why can't she just cover up once in a while?!" would you? That would feel pretty crappy. I think we all need to stop judging each others bodies and the way we decide to display our bodies. As long as one of those girls isnt directly hurting you with her boobs (which would not happen) who cares? We all need to learn to be a bit more accepting. xoxo kerra

She might be saying those things because she feels the same way you do--that you're judging her for her eating choices, the way you feel about what she's saying. Telling her that her food is going to cause diabetes probably hurts her feelings too, so she's saying you're weird as a comeback. Try not commenting on what she eats for a few days, and hopefully her comments will stop too! If not you could talk to your mom about setting some peace between the two of you.

Hey girl, it's hard to say. Genetics doesn't mean something will definitely happen; it just means it's more likely. I'd just take care of yourself and let puberty take over from there.

i have a huge bust for my age and everyone notices.my cousins are always saying stuff like wow their huge i bet ur glad -lots o guys i bet. they're all wrong though he makes me so embarassed when guys make fun of me for them in very subtle ways. and i've heard kids in younger grades saying stuff like did u notice them and even my bff's lil sis talks about me because of it. i hate it and my friends know it they say those people are just stupid but i take it to heart when i hear it myself.i kind of hate myself because i want to fit into my school of 215 people not stand out as the huge chested freak i am.




OMG I COMPLETELY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!  I am a...get ready...GG.  Talk about big lol.  Girls that make fun are probs jealous, because how often do other girls talk about how their boobs are too small?  Guys are immature, but as you grow up so do they and they won't make a big deal out of it.  Just try not to wear shirts revealing too much cleavage and stuff.

The last time this kind of thing happened was when I was 10, when I hit puberty. I only really start getting uncomfy at night and sometimes can't sleep because it hurts a lot. This could be a sign that you're still growing, or that you're getting your period!  It's totes not that uncommon, but if it keeps hurting this much, and you get worried, you could always try talking to a doctor! XOXO

my breasts are very uneven so much so that one is a Dcup while the other B.Boys make fun of me at achool for it.I hate it so much i wear sweatshirts even in the hottest weather.I try as hard as i can to skip school so i dont have to face it cuz everytime somebody says something i cry.Im so ashamed of it.Is there anything i can do? should i go to the doctor?




Next time you visit your doctor, just ask them to take a look.  Because your body is experiencing lots of different changes right now, it may just be that your breasts haven't evened out yet.  Don't feel insecure about your body, and don't let people get to you.  You don't have to wear a sweatshirt (especially in the summer), just find some larger cute, graphic tee's that won't hug every curve on your body.

Another awkward Q, your fav! LOL so my boobs have finally started growing, but I've been noticing like a teensy bit of crusty stuff on my nipples before I shower, I have teeny bumps like zits on the ring around the nipple, and like the actual dark part of my nipple- there's like black stuff from my bra and it won't come out!!! I shower everyday and try to use like my towel or a washcloth but it doesn't come out! Could I have like a boob infection?

Ok so im 12 and My breasts have been growing since i was 11. Well lately My breasts have been really hurting. If i laugh kinda hard all of a sudden i have this really sharp pain in one of my breast. I told my mom about it but she says its just my breasts growing but i dont know because it hurts bad! The pain will stay there for about 2 minutes. Do you have any idea what this is?

Hey people. lots of girls have big boobs too.There are down sides ( P.E.) and up sides ( looking older). So dont feel bad about where you are because, for most of you, you will only get bigger. Oh and for the girl with the tripple D, I really feel for you, but I have a feeling that you will be a tall, beautiful, and strong woman, which you can look forward to. Just be thankful for where you are, and I know you have heard that before, but i am REALLY serious. For the flat chested, enjoy being loved for who you are and not for your body, and for the larger girls, you can go to the older girl's movies or go on the rides at the carnival.Also, think of all the older boys thinking that you are their age so they hang out with you more. I know that sounds silly, but you will learn to love it. Oh and for the smaller girls, you can pull off those lower cut shirts.Just dont go too far. Peace.

Hey babe! You will not be flat forever. A good way to guess-timate how large your chest will grow is based on the other females in your family. If they have small chests, then you may have a naturally smaller chest too. If you have a petite frame, you may have a smaller chest.  Either way, it's not a bad thing!  All of our bodies are different, and you are likely still growing!  If they hurt, it's a sign they are in the process of growing.

Hey girl! I'm sorry that they're calling you out and making you uncomfortable like that. That's completely inappropriate of them, and you deserve to feel safe when you go to school without being harassed!  Tell a parent or teacher that the boys are really bothering and affecting you.  Try to ignore them and stay away from them.  Your body is beautiful the way it is, and when our bodies are more unique than others they often get attention.  Remember to love yourself, and stay away from the perverted boys who feel the need to try and make you feel awkward in your own skin.

I have a problem. I developed a steady workout routine using 4 of GL's workouts, but there's this one I really hate doing and I always feel like I am doing all of the moves wrong-what should I do??




Hey babe, try improving your posture and make sure your technique is similar to the technique described in the workout.  Also if you feel like you're doing the moves wrong, you could ask a friend/family member to check your body positioning OR look at yourself in the mirror as you do the exercise to make sure your form is correct.

How can I easily get fun curly hair for my spring dance that's easy to do and looks cute. I want it to be really curly my hair is naturally very wavy but looks sloop and ugly naturally so I always straighten it




Hey babe, try using a curling iron that is not too wide to make your hair extremely curly.  Pull your hair half up/half down, and curl the bottom half first, then let the half pony-tail down and curl the top part.  Have fun Smile

MOD MOD HELP! Okay so im twelve and just got my period last nite. It was only a little bit of blood, so by the time i noticed it when i went to the bathroom it was brown and dried. i told my mom and shes really proud (kinda strange, why is she proud???) anyways i was wondering should i wear anything more than a pantiliner tomorrow? i guess if something weird happens all of a sudden and its heavy i could just ask my BFFL for a pad cause she got her period and always keeps pads/tampons hidden in her backpack. its so funny tho we are startign family life (sex ed.) tomorrow so its like im just in time! lol but anyways i think my period is over now since first periods are really short. but should i wear anyhing more than a pantiliner and a backup one in my backpack?

MOD! recently whenever i shave my legs i get like razor bumos under my knees and i feel all itchy. i use a venus embrace razor and i get a new one every 2 weeks or so. wat can i do to stop getting them?

 

Hey missy, it could be what you're using to shave your legs. Don't use soap, try shaving cream next time. They might prevent the bumps. Smile

I dont have a big chest compared to other girls, its really smaller than I would like and I have a bf. Lately I have noticed him looking at other girls who have big boobs. I dont judge him on the size of his body parts, do you think he might be judging me? I think he used to be fine with my chest size, but now could it be that he would like them to be larger? And if thats it whats a girl my size to do?




Hey girl! If he dumps you just 'cause your chest is not as large as other girls', then it's truly hiss loss. Your bf should love you for YOU - regardless of what size you are. I'm sure he genuinely cares for you, though! And you should not try to change yourself for any guy ... guys love it most when girls have confidence in themselves!

MOD! MOD! I have a huge problem. So I am going white water rafting tomorrow; and i have my period. I don't like to wear tampons because they are so unconformable when I walk and move. So I was thinking of just wearing a pad. I will also be wearing a wet suit, so I don't think i will get really wet. But do you think it is a problem to wear a pad if I get a little wet or will it get all messy and gross??




I think that will definitely pose a problem, sorry to say. Because the pads are supposed to soak up moisture.

You could specifically make plans to hang out with each of them separately. Also, maybe it would help if you hung out outside of the house.

Hey girl, I am sorry about that. I know you might feel awkward now but just embrace being tall. In a few years the guys will probably all be taller than you. Even if they are not though, feel comfortable in your own skin. There is nothing wrong with being tall!

Please help me! OK, one of my "friends" told the guy I like that I was going to ask him to ask me to go to prom with him and I found out from my other friend (Let's call her P) and I asked the my "friend", M if she knew who started the rumor and she said she did and she made the wrong choice. But now the guy won't talk to me and it's driving me crazy. I've been wanting to talk to him, but we've both been so busy. He said he would talk to me after our band concert on Tuesday, but M pulled him away, just as I was walking up to him. Please help me! Thanks. All M has told him is a big lie.

I am no med expert, so I can't say for sure.  From what I know, sometimes a darker color discharge can be the sign of an infection.  You don't need to get really anxious, but it would be a good idea to let a parent/guardian know.  They can get you in to see the doc and figure out what's up.  xoxo

You would know if you had your period - I promise.  If you're having belly pains, it could be cramps, gas, or from another cause.  But actually GETTING your period is different - you'll be able to tell!

I think I have some kind of anxiety disorder. I had a panic attack once and now I've had several of them. Sometimes I just get so dizzy and unfocused that I want to burst into tears and I'm convinced I'm going to die. Where can I get help? This thing's running my life. It's happening more and more often.
P.S. This thing runs in my family, my dad had/has panic attacks and stuff and so do a few of my other relatives.

Hey babe, yes it's normal for our periods to be a bit unregular for the first couple years of getting it.  Try putting your hair in a regular pony tail and then separating 3-5 sections and putting them in separate braids for a cool funky new do!

I've been depressed lately, though I can't figure out why. Today, during school when my teacher was playing a tape, I stabbed myself with a pencil on or by the veins. It didn't draw blood, but it still hurt. I old my BFF about my past history, because we're both trying to figure out why I'm upset. I've had thoughts of suicide, which I've told her about. That worried her, and she told me to be cautious or it might actually happen. (some ideas of how to die) From her reaction, I could see in her face that she thinks I need help from a trained professional. As true as this may be, I don't want to. I've decided to check first with you. Any suggestions?

MOD MOD Does getting pregnant automatically start to give you bigger boobs? There are times when some of my friends get worried because they think thats the reason they are getting larger. But does it always work like that, I thought even if you were pregnant your boobs wouldnt start getting bigger until near the end but I might be wrong.

Hey chica! The best thing to do when something like that happens is laugh about it. If you make a joke about it and find it funny, then everyone else will too, and it'll pass over soon. If they see that it's bothering you, then they'll be more likely to keep bringing it up. So, just relax, and try to find the humor in any situation Smile
As for being a teenage mother, I would recommend finding as much support as you can so that you can continue going to school, and eventually go to college. Never give up on your dreams and aspirations. You should still have the same goal in site...you're just taking a detour to get there. Many colleges have daycare centers and support for young moms, so take advantage of that!

ModI think i want to start using nair, but i don 't know how to ask me mom to use it. Its track season, and i want to have hairless leggs like me freinds, and i dont feel conmferatable with shaving. HOw does nair work? Does it give good results? What is a good conversation starter?

 

Hey chica, personally, I prefer good old shaving to using hair removal products like Nair. In my opinion, shaving gets smoother, and better smelling skin. However, if you really want to try Nair, tell your ma exactly what you told us! That all of your friends have smooth legs and you want them too! She should understand, after all, she's been there too! Smile

My chest isnt big at all and I do wish my boobs were bigger but I do have a friend who is very over sized for her age and they are continuing to grow.

She isnt even on birth control and its happening naturally. We did our own research online and I would never say its good to get surgery on our boobs but I think there are times when some people need to get a reduction to keep from having physical problems.

We also went over the whole size thing (for us and even guys) in class last year about how young people worry and feel bad if they are too big or to small. We all agreed we should be happy what we are born with but society makes us feel different. We even went over how guys are starting to be so obsessed with the size of their down there guy part, so it isnt just us.

Ok im in fifth grade and i have two friends.One one friend is like a 36a and shes only 11 and the other is has no cup size. I mean she wears like a 32a and she honestly doesnt need it. she doesnt even need a training bra. heyy im an ustralian 12E/10FF and im nearly 14 and that is pretty massive..they are probably a few kilos each and they hurt sometimes. mum is worried about my back so im going to go talk to a doctor about a reduction...its in my genes to have them though so its kinda different i guess Tong still, its annoying!!!

1) There is this one girl at chours which is always making fun of me. Like yeserday I did a japanesse hairbow and she asked like it was the ugliest thing in the world! We have a Bullying Politically at Chours when we are sussoped to tell a teacher when it happens but I don't want to be the one which gets her kicked out of the chours. Help?
2) I'm growing my hair out long again, I don't want to get my hair cut till the end of this summer ( I take really good care of my hair so it doesn't split) so I can get all the length I can but should I get a trim before I start outgrowing it?




Getting your hair trimmed does help it to grow in healthy. As for the girl, could you try to talk to her about it before you go to the teacher?

Hey girl,

I know it seems awkward but it really isn't embarrassing. You keep your shirt on and everything, and they can take you in a dressing room so no one is looking. They just use a measuring tape to see how big you are around your chest area. Besides that, I'm not sure of a way to do it at home...but you could also go to a store and try on a bunch of diff sizes to see what is best

It's best to go to a department store and a store that specializes in undergarments and get measured. The employees there are trained to measure you and they can give you an accurate size and help you find a good bra!

Lol, I had been wearing a 32 b for a couple of years without being measured. But for the longest time, my girls almost completly would be entirely out of my bra. Turns out, for about three months, I was a 32D, while I was wearing a 32B.
I hate it though, because you have to look EVERYWHERE for a 32 anything.

To feel better it's important to get a lot of sleep, drink a lot of water and healthy fluids (like juice or tea). Also, take medicine if you have any that will help you feel better. And mono is a disease that is known as the "kissing disease" but you can get it from a lot of other places than kissing. Just by sharing a drink with someone, or touching something then touching your mouth, any other ways you can get germs. And some symptoms, are really tired and a really sore throat. If you feel really bad, you should check in with your doc!

I've been sick for 11 days now. I went to school once but i got really really exhausted. I went to the doctor Tuesday of last week and he gave me allergy medicine. I went back to school on Wednesday thinking I was fine. I was in tears after school in the locker room before soccer I was so tired. I went to soccer because i didn't want to be a wimp or whatever. I stayed home from school thursday and went to the doctor to get my blood drawn to see if I had mono. It turns out I don't. I was sick Friday. I tried going to school Monday but went home at lunchtime because I was superrr tired!! I went to the doctor yet again on Tuesday and got my blood drawn into eight different tubes and got tested for lots of things. My doctor called me yesterday (home from scho exhausted) and said I probably had autoimmunity. He got me medicine for it and I'm supposted to get an appt. With a specialist. That was the first time I had heard of that. Apparently my moms Rhumatoid arthritis is some form of it but I don't have that. Can you tell me more about autoimmune that I can understand as a 14 year old? Thank you so much!!Smile

Autoimmune is a disease where your immune system mistakes your own body cells for pathogens (disease cells) and attacks them thinking that they will make you sick, when really it's just your own body cells. We aren't medical expert so we don't know much, so it may be a good idea to get some info from your doc. Ask them if they can explain it in easy terms so you can understand. Most importantly, take it slow and feel better!

Hey girl, your chest will continue growing throughout your teen years. While I don't think you'll magically become a D cup, know your bod is far from being done growing into an adult's. As for detracting away from a small chest, I suggest wearing empire waisted tops/dresses -- they can give the allusion more is there than there may be. Push-up bras also help a bit too.

I'm sorry to hear about the tough periods.  Some PMS is totally normal.  Exercise and eating a variety of healthy foods can help relieve some of the symptoms.  If it's disrupting your normal activity or making school difficult, I would def recommend making a doctor's appointment.  They can help you come up with a solution so you aren't suffering so much.  xoxo

MOD MOD MOD!?!? I have a HUGE problem. My school doesnt have ANY air conditioning. One day I found that I was sweating under my air pits. I have to wear a jacket or a sweat shirt to cover it. And I get really hot wearing them too. But I can be wearing just a plain t-shirt and get sweat marks! HELP! Its getting to be hot and I am dying in a jacket!!

Hey girl!  Gosh, I remember writing poems for school - it can be totally hard!  But it can be fun too.  It can be helpful to start by figuring out what you want to write about - pets, boys, school, anything works!  Picking a certain style of poem, or whether you want it to rhyme or not, might give you something to work with.  And remember, it doesn't have to be perfect - that's the great thing about poetry!

Hey girl!  That's cool to hear about your career thoughts!  I don't know for sure since I'm not in PR myself, but I think that journalism, communications, and business classes would all be a great place to start.  The good news is, almost all colleges offer them!  Some colleges even have specific "Public Relations" majors, but I'm not sure how common that is.  The internet has lots of resources though, so keep searching!  Good luck!

**MODDD** I need some advice. I'm like in love with my ex, and I know he still likes me. Everyone says that he's even in love with me too. We broke up because he was 'bored' in the relationship, which I can't really blame him because he was my first boyfriend so I was really nervous to say anything. But anyway, lately his feelings have been showing. I often often often see him staring at me in class and not making a single effort to hide it. He even gets mad and practically pulls guys away from me who are flirting. Am I gonna have to be the one to make the move to get back together or is there a way to get him to ? It totally just depends on what you're comfortable with.  If you're feeling up for it, you can talk to him about it directly.  If not, you can just keep being friendly and making opportunities to talk to him in school, so he knows you're interested too.  That might help things work out naturally.  Good luck!

mod!!! i applied for jobs at mcdonalds and tim hortons but i still havent got a call back. i called them a couple times to check up on it and both times they said they would be calling me in a few days...what gives?? and i applied like 2 months ago. i know a girl that got a call back the day after she applied. i get great marks in school, and i like to think i'm very friendly, how can i get a job!?!

Now that you've checked back a few times, it might be more of a waiting game.  Finding a job can be difficult - even if you have great qualifications, sometimes people just aren't hiring.  Ask around to see if any jobs are open, and turn in applications at lotsa places you're interested in working, and you will find something!

i now how you feel im only in the 7th grade and i'm the biggest girl i'm a 32D and i hate it. i cant get a good boy freind that will like me for me because of my chest. mine grew so fast that i have strech marks on my chest. i also cant shop like normal girls for any tip of shirt i have to get mine specialy made or get one that costs a lot of money to get. so i now what it feels like and well it's hard and there's not much we can do about it other then stay strong and move on with it. and also find other girls with this and make them feel better about it.

Oh, and I think it doesn't matter what your chest size is. Some girls with small chests wish they could have bigger boobs and some with big chests want smaller boobs! Funny how that works... lol Smile I also think it's really stupid that some guys only like girls because of their boob sizes. So stupid!!!

***MODMODMODMOD*** When I was young and in third grade my grades were all A +'s. That year they changed the math and my grades began becoming F's and D's. In fifth grade I learned I have a learning problem and my mind mixes up words and numbers so I have to be really careful. I got sick so many times at school my mom began homeschooling me. I lost all my friends because they hung out with each other and they forgot about me. I called them several times and tried fixing the situation but they never called me back to I ended the friendship. I'm in 7th grade and I'm on 3rd grade math and I feel really low. Homeschoolers have meetings to talk and make friends but I got left out again and I ended up making friends with a little kid and an adult. I have no one to talk to that's my age. I noticed I began staying inside more and I haven't ran and played for nearly 2 years! I'm making an effort to try but I have asmath. It's where you run and play too much and your lungs tighten up. It's really painful so I don't want to run but I know I need too. My brother said I'm really fragile but I don't want to accept that even though I know it's true. I'm scared of wants going to happen to me if things keep going like this. Please help me!!

 

Hey girl, I'm really sorry to hear all of this. First of all, asthma can be very serious and so you shouldn't feel like you have to do anything that could make it worse and end up maybe even hurting you. Learning disabilities can be really hard to deal with too, but know that you aren't alone. Try finding some support groups online or near you, where kids who are dealing with the same thing get together and talk about their experiences. Its a great way to feel better, and to make friends who understand you. Know also that anyone who doesn't want to be your friend over something this silly is not someone you want to be friends with anyway. I know its hard, but these struggles will only make you stronger!
