It's getting hot out, but summer won't be the only thing bringing the heat. Design your own stencils to put on clothes, bags, boards, walls, virtually anywhere! You can create your own graphics or writing as a stencil and transfer it onto any surface!

What You'll Need:

Crafting knife "Exacto Knife"
Cardboard, vellum or poster board
Spray paint, washable markers, washable paint
Masking tape
A towel wrapped around a cutting board
A blank canvas: board, shirt or bag

What You'll Do:

Print out an image or create your own design. Tape the four corners of the printed paper onto your cardboard, vellum or poster board. Use an Exacto knife to cut out the design. (For this process, it’s encouraged to have an adult present.) Remove the paper from the board.

Get a blank surface (canvas bag, blank tee shirt, etc.). (If fabric is thin, grab the towel wrapped around a cutting board and sandwich in between so ink will not bleed through.) Tape the cardboard onto blank canvas. Use marker, spray paint or paint to fill in the blank space that was cut out. (When using these materials, make sure you're in a heavily ventilated room. Wear a protective face mask or ask and an adult for help.) Carefully remove the cardboard.

Leave your canvas on a flat surface overnight and then flaunt your creation.
