Land Perfect Beach Waves!

 
Loved the gorgeous, beachy waves in the June/July issue of GL? Now you can get those laidback (but insanely lovely) locks at home. Here’s the how-to.
 
Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair before you go to bed. Towel- or air-dry your strands until they’re damp, but not totally dry.
 

Work a small amount of wave-enhancing product from root to tip. Right now, we’re loving David Babaii for Wildaid Bohemian Beach Spray ($10, bathandbodyworks.com). It defines curls, kills frizz and isn’t sticky at all.
 
Weave your hair into 4-5 braids and secure the ends with elastics. In the a.m., take out the braids to reveal major texture. Need more bounce? Take a curling iron and curl a few sections to enhance your ’do. So easy.

ok, i tried this already and it made my hair crimped instead of beachy waves. maybe i did something wrong, any other tips to make it not so crimped?

Try not making the braids so tight. leave them a little loose for a more relaxed look. You can also try tousling products, like Herbal Essences "Tousle Me Softly" hair mousse.

Trust me this really works! I can't stand my hair when it drys naturally, but when i do this i love it and get LOTS of complements ! So i recommend it to everybody!!
