I wrote a letter to my crush telling him that I thought he was really nice and that I had feelings for him. He didn’t respond. Instead, he’s just been ignoring me. I don’t know how he feels and it’s killing me! For so long he’s been dropping hints that he likes me. What am I supposed to think?

Hey girly! So sorry to hear about the confusing sitch! Boys can be so hard to read, right? But before you do anything, here are a few things to consider that I hope will help you out.

Take a second look

One time, my close friend was interested in me and thought I was flirting back. I wasn’t. Sometimes a friendly gesture can be misinterpreted as flirting. Guys tend to be pretty straightforward.

If he knows you’re interested but hasn’t said anything about it, he may be trying to give you a lil distance to let you know he’s just not into you like that. With this in mind, take a second look on the things your crush has done. Was he really flirting or just being a friendly guy?

If you think he’s into ya…

After looking back on things, if you still think he’s def into ya, then it’s time to make a move. It may be that he’s a tad too nervous to take the first step. If you’re really into him and want something more out of your friendship, try talking to him about the note you left him or flirt a little to see how he reacts. For all ya know, it could pay off!

…If you don’t

If it doesn’t seem like he’s so into you, it could be kinda tough. It’ll be hard, but over time it’ll be easier to get over him. Try getting to know the other people in your classes or extracurriculars better. You could be surprised and end up finding some new great friends…or even your very own Prince Charming!

As for your mom, I would tell her that you've been talking to a boy from school and he seems really nice. Maybe bring him over to hang out and meet your parents first, so that your mom feels more comfortable. Then, casually let her know that he asked you out.

MOD!!! OK i dont know wat to do this guy i like acts like he likes me but then when m about to go and tlk to him hes flirting with this girl that he tells every1 he doesent like! All his freinds tell me hes gonna text me and ask me out should i beleive it?!

Hey girly, it sounds like he might be trying to make you jealous. I'd wait it out and see what happens. Or, you could buck up and tell him that you like him

Mod mod mod mod!! There's a boy tht was on Facebook with me, and we strted talking, and he asked me if i wanted to go out with him in 6th grade!! So i said yes, and he gave me his cell #. I can texr him, because I have an Ipod Touch, but I can't call him. He said it was fine, but do you think he meant it? This is my FIRST boyfriend, and i haven't told my parents yet. The guy (Cade) said he would be fine if we had to wait til the first day of school. We both can't wait, and he said he likes me more than a friend, even if we hardly know each other. (we were corners for a dance my school does every year and we had a good time) Who says i love you first? I dont love him-yet- but im nervous, bc what if i may love him and he doesn't love me? Sorry its long, thanks!!

Hey chica, I would take it slow and wait until school starts. You should def get to know each other more before you become official. Once you're around each other a lot at school, you'll have a better time dating. As for saying the L word, I would hold out a little bit and not say it right away. Lots of girls like for the guy to say it first, however, if you want to say it, then there's no reason why you couldn't say it first. But, I would wait some time first.

MOD what if he hasnt said anything back but he flirts with me 1 week then like the other week acts like he doesnt like me and also is saying he has a gf? which i dont believe that he does cuz hes not allowed to date?
