Mod mod Please answer, I need help. I go to the 9th grade, and I go to a new school. It's the same town hall, and they move everyone from the 9th grade to there so my classmates will be the same. The only problem is that last year I was the nerd and the outsider at school and I didn't belong. I learned to read and write with my parents and I skip the 1st grade and now I'm a year younger than everyone. So, I'm kinda childish near to the other girls. I want it to be different this year, I want they to know that I've changed and I want to belong, but I got very bad reputation as a nerd. Soo, tell me what to do.

 

Hey chica! There is nothing wrong with being a "nerd." The fact that you learned to read and write at such an early age is great! Don't try to force yourself to fit in because you will only end up acting as someone who you are not. You may also attract the wrong friends. I think you should try making friends with people who share similar interests with you, that way you will know that the friendship wasn't forced and isn't fake.  If anything, kids will be impressed that you are in the 9th grade at a younger age!

I'm starting 8th grade in 2 weeks and I am stressing out.
I'll be at the same school that I was in last year.You see, they are chaning everything and I do not have my schedule yet.Please help,I can't sleep.

Girl, don't worry, you'll be totally fine! Take comfort in the things that are staying the same, like school lunches or your besties or your fave teacher from last year that you can go and visit. Remember: Everyone else is in the same position you're in, and I'm sure your school will give you some time to get acclimated to the changes. Deep breath, babe! And good luck this year!
