im having a crisis. this morning i was organizing the top of my mom dresser (it was a mess). she has this jewlry box with two levels and i decided to look in the bottom level. guess what i found? my RECENT diary pages. there talking about my ex-boyfriend and how i thought i was fat...i had ripped them out of my dairy so i could have clean pages. i THOUGHT i threw them away but somehow my mom has them. now im so mad at her (she doesnt know it) and i really dont want to talk to her about it. i mean wut will she say? "sorry honey i just felt like snooping through your personal LIFE!!!!!" HELP!!

 

That's awful - she should not be snooping through your private things! Even though you don't want to talk to her about it, I think it's important that she knows you don't appreciate her going through your private diary. Let her know that you threw these pages away and writing in your diary is your way of dealing with the things you are going through in your life. Tell her that you will come to her if you have a problem that you want to talk about with her, but some things you would rather keep to yourself. You could also ask her why she decided to go through your things. Be polite and grown-up throughout the conversation, though, and while you can let her know that you're angry, don't yell and scream at her.
