I fight with my li’l sister because she constantly comes into my room without knocking and snoops through my stuff when I’m not home. How can I make her stop?

Little sisters can be annoying. But the reason she’s probably hanging around is she looks up to you. Even if she’s being bratty, she’s likely just trying to get your attention. She wants to hang out with you, and maybe this is the only way she knows how to get close.

Explain that you love her but that you also need your privacy. Set up some specific guidelines, like your room is off limits when you aren’t there and she must knock before entering. Now…instead of squabbling, make an effort to spend a little bonding time with your sister.

This is going to sound really weird but I have been feeling something in my underwear and it's wet but when I check there's nothing there! My mom said it's probably sweat but it happens when I'm cold and hot! Please! Need advice! Thank You!

 

Maybe it is light discharge that is drying up before you check it (?) or, it could be sweat — it might be possible to sweat when you're cold if you're nervous or something.

Hey girl, if you shave your bikini line or use Nair or anything, it's really common for them to cause bumps.  But if you have never done that, it could be irritation from something else.  If it's just on your bikini line and not really close to your vagina, I think a dermatologist would be more fitting than a gynocologist.  But there's not harm in asking your dad.

You can also have discharge from touching down there, infection, or irritation.

Hey girl, honestly appearance is a big thing to a lot of people at all ages. Whether that's right or not however, is a different story. Your personality is far more important than how your bod looks. Just be yourself and the right guy will love you for that — it'll be enough. As for your bod prob, do be sure to take care of yourself by exercising and eating healthy, more for yourself and your own health than anything else. A big P.S. though: you don't need a boy to determine your worth. Too many pretty girls don't have a boyfriend and think there's something wrong with them. That's just not the case though. Never give up who you are for a guy; it's just not worth it.

Hey girl, I'm way sorry to hear about your kittens. What I suggest doing is having a funeral for them to say good-bye. Talk to your 'rents about getting another pet maybe when the time is right. Losing a pet is always hard but know they're in a better place.

i guess im just not sure what to do. i need my best friend to talk to but she is always too interested in her own problems. she wont talk to me because she found out her aunt had cancer and is going to die and shes too upset...little does she know that my aunt is going through the same thing which i tried to tell her... i also tried to comfort her without worrying about myself but she wont listen. Also, today my mom told me that i might be moving in a year! i just moved here 2 years ago too! i want to move and start over but i cant leave my school and my 2 best friends. any advice?




Hey girl, you need to have a heart-to-heart with your one bud. Tell her you're here for her and you know it's hard, but you're going through it too. All you can do aside from that is listen to her and know you're setting the right example. As for moving, you have a year. Set that aside for now and once it's more definite (and if it is more definite), tell your friends solemnly. Let them know so you have plenty of time to have a great last year together. Think about embracing the moment before you begin mourning the end of it.

Okay, so there is this boy who I've known for nine years, (we're neighbors,) and I've always liked him, we used to be like best friends, but ever since we got into middle school, we haven't really talked. He always teases me about everything when he's around people, but when we're alone he's always nice to me. The other day when I was at his house, (playing with his little sister,) and he kept spraying me with the water hose, and talking to me! I REALLY want to know if he likes me back, but I don't want to ask him, I've already sent his sister over to ask, but he never gives her an answer. I really thinks he likes me, but how can I ask him without actually having to ask him. I have one other question.
I just got new neighbors, and they have four girls. My brother and I went and welcomed them into the neighbor hood, but I REALLY want to be friends with them. They are all my age. How do I do that?

As for your neighbors, the answer is easy... call them up!  They're new to the neighborhood so they're probably feeling nervous about making friends and fitting in.  Offer to show them around {your fave after-school hangout, the mall, the park, etc.} and ask them how they like it here compared to their old town.  Being friendly will put them at ease - they'll really appreciate it! Smile And the best thing to do about your crush is to start talking more.  You were BFF before, so ask him if he wants to catch up!  Hang out and get a little flirty back.  By starting to get more friendly and seeing him more often, you can really see how he acts around you...and you never know, maybe he'll open up to ya!

Hey girl, I understand how you must feel, your diary is a very private thing. Try sitting down and talking calmly with your mom about it. Don't pick a fight with her, but your mom must have had a concern if she read your diary. She probably did it because she was worried about you, but you both need to talk out the feelings you have towards the whole situation. Try to see her perspective, but let her know how you feel also...talking will make you feel better. Good luck!

I moved way far away from my best friend when i was six. weve kept our friendship together even though we live seven hours away. her and i are starting high school the year after this one and im afraid that our friendship wont survive high school. Hey girlie, If you can't see your friends in person, it's super easy to keep in touch over the phone or the internet! You can also hang out on weekends! making new friends can be tough, but just be friendly and talk to people in your classes!

Ok so at school last year this guy did some stuff. It has been bothering me. I'm having nightmares and such. It started when I leaned over my seat on the bus to talk to a guy friend. I Jada v neck on and the other guy threw wrappers downy shirt and called me flasher. Then the next day I was sitting quietly listening to my iPod and he threw a wrapper down my shirt. When he got of the bus he wud hit me w/ a bag full of books. He once dropped a pencil behind me jst to try to touch my butt. He wud comment in my boyfriend and ask me to kiss or act sexually torwards my bf. It was out of my control. One day when I got on the bus he put his foot to my butt. He kept hitting me with his bag. I saw him in the library and cried into my best guy friends shoulder and told him everything. He said I needed to tell an adult I havnt. It is so weird and I'm having night mares. Plz help me. Tell me what u wud call what he did to me. Y did he do that to me? I feel lost and helpless. Thank u very much.

 

Hey girl! It's called harrassment and he probably did it because he is immature. You do need to tell your parents or another trusted adult and they will help you through this.

And another thing with snooping sibs, it can be very embarrassing if they find certain things, so its best if they just not snoop. So its better if you talk to your parents and get them to stop.

I would just hate if my younger sis found my diary, or even worse went through my undergarment drawer or found some of my other stuff related to me growing up or things that my bfs have given me. Talk about embarrassing, I would die!

Ok so it all started in third grade i had a crush on this guy named clay since the first day i moved there when i saw him i couldnt stop staring at him well that WHOLE year her said one sentance witch was "why do you like hannah montana so much"
my response "i dont know" and thats all!!!! well the next year in forth he moved a couple miles away and went to a new skool... well my sister did track and they competed against eachother... i was really obsessed by then so my and my bff kept tring to get his attention... we didnt ok well this year i am sososososososososooooo obsessed and he moved accross the country!!! so i didnt see him at all! well later on in the year i got his number and i txted him and told him how i felt and he never txted back me and my bff called him a couple times and his fone is always off!! i like him sooooooooooooooooooooooo much and i want him to answer me... at least be friends... can you help me do i need to back off? or what?

I just found out that one of my friends from school that was in my homeroom was raped two days ago. We're going into high school this year and she's only 14. Apparently this has already happened two other times and one of her other friends has opened a police case on the guy who has repeatedly done this but I'm just really stressed out and my heart really hurts for her. He slashed her wrists with glass that he broke to get into her house and he's like 15-16. I really want to be there for her but I'm not really really close to her but we talked a lot this past school year. What can I do?

Hey again chica Smile I would maybe tell her that you care a lot about her as a friend, and you're worried that she's not treating others that well. Tell her that other people don't know her as well as you do, and they might think she's rude or mean right off the bat, rather than wanting to get to know her. Hey chica! I'm great, and I hope you are too. I think it's a good idea that you want to talk to her about it. Maybe she just doesn't realize how she's acting. Since you're going to see her at the lake soon, I would hold off until for now. See how she acts there, and maybe after you both get home, you can e-mail your concerns to her like you said. Or, if you feel comfortable enough, you can talk to her while you're at the lake. (Might be best to e-mail her after though). She's lucky to have a friend like you.

It sounds like he just wants to know how you're feeling without having to wonder or guess all the time.  You might feel like you're being totally open about your thoughts and emotions, but try to remember that BFs can't be inside our minds all the time - they really have NO idea what we're thinking!  So we have to help them out.  Try calling him and apologizing if he thought you were trying to hide something from him.  Let him know you weren't trying to be mysterious or hidden at all, and that you'll try to be more honest and open in the future about your feelings. Then make a real effort to do that!  I'm sure he just feels insecure because he feels like he doesn't know where your head is at.  Help him out and it'll be ok Smile

The best way to get your mom to accept your friend is to let her see the "real" person behind your bud.  Try inviting her over and hanging out without needing privacy or anything from your mom.  That way, your mom can hear your convos, know that your friend treats you well, and know that she is a nice person!  Another way to convince mom is by watching your own actions - don't give her attitude and don't act immaturely when you don't get what you want.  Respect her and act like a good person, which I know you are!  Then she'll be more likely to believe that you'll surround yourself with other good people.

I have a problem. I am semi-obsessed with the Blood Coven series and Twilight and other vampiric things. I'm not obsessed-obsessed but i do really like vampires (and werewolves *Team Jacob!*). The problem is my grandma is super agianst them cuz they are entirely...well, christian. We are a christian family, but my grandma calls almost everything I like foosie (her word for too grown up) and the vampire stuff demonic. How can I explain that I love god, but vampires too?

Hey girlie, tell your grandmother that you understand that vampires aren't real and that you just like the stories contained in the vampire trilogy. MODMOMOD so Im going to camp in like 2 weeks and its a week long well the week im at camp i usually get my period and im really scared bcz my mom wont let me use tampons and they dont alow u to sit out on activities so i was wondering if wear a swim bottom and putting my pad on that then putting swim shorts on top of that would work bcz no one would see my pad but is it ok to wear a pad while swimming? and how many pads should i bring bcz i dont want to not bring enough and be stranded there without pads!!? thanks love ya lots

 

Hey girlie, just take as many as you can to be safe. You can wear a pad in your bathing suit, but you can't swim with it. If you want to, tell your mom that you want to try tampons because you want to be able to swim at camp. If you're not allowed to use them all the time you might still be able to use them at camp.

I'm a musical theatre actor, and even though I'm too young to get paid, I take my job very seriously. The company I work with the most often is pretty small, and not too strict. I call the director by her first name and all the players and staff and I are like family. 
I'm doing Hairspray this year with a company that's a bit more local, and we're touring it to Florida.
The thing is that this is a really big company, and while they're tightly knit, I'm not a part of their theatre family, and they're also very unprofessional. Since I haven't been with them very long, odds are that the leads will go to my more local, much less professional, counterparts. I don't mind that so much, but I do mind being stuck in an ensemble that doesn't take their jobs seriously because they aren't speaking roles. I also

OK, so I have fibromyalgia (chronic muscle pain, insomnia, etc) and I am trying to lose weight. I usually run 10 minutes at 6 miles an hour each day (that's about a mile) and do some Pilates and have just started walking 20 minutes as well, as after 3 months I haven't lost any weight (though I did grow taller and not gain any). BTW, I eat moderatly well. But with fibromyalgia, I go through good and bad stretches of time. Now I am on a bad stretch. Lately I have been taking 4 breaks during my run (I get cramps or get tired). I feel really tired today and I don't want to run. I feel like maybe I should give myself the day off and run tomorrow, instead of fighting through it today (I usually give myself the weekends off). What do you think I should do? I am really on the fence here and would like a 2nd opinion (my mom and I are both horrible at descisions LOL). Thank you and enjoy the rest of your summer (sorry for it being so long LOL),




It's totally OK to take a break from exercise.  I would say to take a day off today, and take it slow tomorrow.  Even walking will be good for you.  But, really try to watch what you're eating... The two tricks to losing weight is working out and eating healthy- so make smart choices when it comes to snack and meal time!

That means that the woman was about to give birth to a baby.  Usually a woman gives birth when she is 10 centimeters dilated... So, it means the woman you were reading about was almost in labor!

(i have taken over six thousand pictures since i got this camera last christmas. i had a camera before this one, so i also have other pictures). my sister is copying me and i NEED for her to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about the sister troubles - I can see why that would be so annoying! I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it is really common for a younger sister to do that. She probably really does admire the things you do. The good news is, it really won't last forever. As much as you can, try not to let it bother you, and make space for yourself to do your own thing. You could try talking to her about some of the things that bug you, like calling you "shorty." I promise, it will get better in time!
and here is my response to that response i was given. i have asked her a million times to stop it, and it isn't working. and it hasn't gotten better with age, it has been like this since the day she was born. more like the day she learned there were such things as insults and when she realized that she is taller than me.

I don't have any sisters, but I can imagine what you're going through.  Usually younger sisters follow around their older sis, because they want to be you, and look up to you.  You are their role model- so, when you take pictures, she takes pictures.  Your sister still sounds like she's relatively young.. We mean that she will grow out of it, when she becomes a teenager.  3 years is a big difference- so hang in there!

Im in 5th grade and i really like this guy. the problem is... hes one of my bffs. I dont know why but since January ive been having this weird feeling for him. i cant control myself and when he talks to me i almost collapse and my knees get week. I also get butterflies in my stomach. I cry at night and write songs about him, but we are really good friends. It's awesome that you guys are BFF's... that means that you guys know almost everything about each other! These feelings you have are good, because you like him for who he is as a person.  If you feel like these feelings won't go away, I would totally say something- like ask him to hang out one on one! But, be careful about telling your mom about your crush, because she might run to his mom and she'll tell your guy before you have the chance...

i have to share a room with my sis! and my best friends have to share a room with their little sis! it sucks for all of us lol! but my sis is 8 years younger than me so i make her keep her stuff in our cubby because our room is so small but we usually have to watch what she wants. most of the time it's a pain!

I'm sure dance is offered somewhere around ya! The great thing about dance, is that they have different classes for all different levels- ranging from beginner, all the way to advance. If you can't find a class offered around you, I'm sure your school offers classes or an afterschool program which might be exactly what you're looking for!

Hey! Just tell your mom that you're interested in it again and hopefully she'll listen. If she does give you lessons again though be sure to stick with them. You're making a commitment and you want to prove to your mom that she was right to give you another chance. Good luck!

My sister disrepects my mom so my mom spanks her. But she doesn't learn. My mom has told me that she has hated her life ever since she was born and it hurts me to hear these things about my sister. My parents have taken TV and music away from her for the rest of the summer, she can't do anything with friends for a while, and her room has even been taken away from her, so she is sleeping in the living room. My mom doesn't see why I feel bad for her, but I do. I kinda feel like my parents want me to take sides but I'm right in the middle. What should I do? Last night while my mom was waiting for me at the pool, she cried. My sister's situation is hurting my family and me. I would like to spend more time with my family, but whenever we are together my mom and sis fight and it makes me sad, so I do alot of stuff with my friends. MOD! My face gets red all the time. When I talk to teachers it gets red or if someone says something, I sometimes turn red. Not because I am embarresed, but people think it is because I am embarresed. It gets red when I talk to guys so then they think I like them, but I don't. Is there anything I can do to stop from getting all red?

 

Hey! Some people blush more easily than others and there's not too much you can do about it, unfortunately. If someone teases you just explain that you aren't embarassed. Most people should understand. good luck!

I'm 14 & my sister is 15.
I snoop threw my sister's stuff,-not too often, but I admit I have which most people wouldn't admit- because it's not like she tells me what is going on in her life, the parties she goes to, the shopping she does, who she hangs out with,& who she likes & dislikes. I'm too shy to ask her, what's up.
I do so much for her,and she doesn't notice. I went first when we were little to get our ears pierced because she was too scared to go first, and I had to convince her it didn't hurt.When we go to sleepovers & parties together and she wants to go early, I'm the one who fakes sick for her. When she goes out shopping, and can't find anything since I know the clothes she likes and what looks good on her I look high and low for her, half of her clothes are what I found. I hide when her friends come over so she doesn't get mad at me. I buy stuff she likes so she can borrow them whenever. I cover for her so she doesn't get in trouble with my parents. I also do what she says.
Yet she says she hates me, because I'm annoying, a copy cat, and I have some sort of wierd plot about steeling her clothes.Tong
Shes the one who steels my clothes, I just borrow clothes, I ask permission. Most of the time she says no, but I just love clothes & I suck I choosing my own stuff. I'm a copy cat because we are in the same sports & clubs, which I can't help. & annoying idk, my voice annoys her.
It's not my fault we are very close to being the same size, and same age.
So really I bet your younger sister feels the same way as you do older sisters are so annoying!
So if your little sister is bothering you by going into your room w/o permission, you should actually let her in your room and hang out with her, she wants positive attention! & if she is bothering you with friends or even hiding when you friends are over, actually invite her to hang out with you and your friends, I bet your friends want to meet your family and its always nice to be included. & try not to make fun of your sister,or tricking her into leaving you alone, you could just ask and try to give her advice on everything, even when she doesn't ask. & remember she takes her stuff because she thinks it will make her like you, not to just steal it. & your sister probably only tells on you sometimes to your parents because she is worried about you. Though if my sister told me something and told me not to tell my parents I wouldn't tell them.
Don't you dare say I don't understand what its like having a younger sibbling, I do have one, a younger brother.Smile


So if you think your younger sib. wouldn't do this,(think again)then you and your sib. get along greatly, and tell each other everything. Instead of saying,"your my sister (or brother) not my friend."
I follow the rule you can't tell your family everything myself, but seriously its bad to keep a whole lot from each other.Smile

my little sister does that too! even my older sister goes through my stuff! it gets really really annoying. my little sister has taken my ipod and my money and my lip glosses and my phone and my necklace and so many other things. my older sister always takes my stuff without asking and she thinks i wouldnt notice. like today she took my nail polish. even though i wasnt planning to use it i still noticed that it was gone. it gets on my nerves sooooooooooo much!

My sister was shy and not outgoing but I am completely outgoing and I love to hang out with friends... but she's not use to it... so everytime I ask she says no.... Hmm, that's a tough sitch!  I guess it's important for you to know why she says no.  I would talk to her about it.  In a calm way, just ask her why she says no to you hanging out with your buds.  If you're clear on the rules, it will be easier to see if you guys can work something out.  The same goes for Twilight.  It might not change her decisions, but talking about it will make it easier for you two to understand each other.

Hey girl, That's really strange.  It sounds like someone that was just messing with you - there might have been some joke going on on the other side.  It probably wasn't really anything personal to you.  If you really don't know her, I wouldn't respond to her stuff anymore.  If it keeps up, document it, talk to an adult, and see if you can find the settings to block her from your page.

1) I would just ask her about it.  If she says no because of the price, you could always offer to pay the difference to get the ones you really want.

2)  If it's someone you don't know, you definitely should stop responding to her nasty comments.  Ignore her, and also think about blocking her from your page so she'll stop harassing you.  Talk with an adult if it continues or gets worse.

I fight with my sister a lot too, but mostly because she can just be annoying sometimes, and we fight more in the summer because we're together so much. (BTW, she's 10, I'm 13.) We're going to camp soon for 3 1/2 weeks together, but we'll only have free swim, one meal and a couple evening activities together. I don't want to fight with her anymore. What should I do?
