My breasts are different sizes!

 
It sounds weird to say but my breasts are two different sizes. And I’m not just talking by a little. Is there something wrong with me?

It’s common to have different-sized breasts, says Dr. Goodale, “Our two halves are not the same, so most people have one breast that’s larger. As long as your breast tissue is normal, there probably isn’t any medical problem.” So you’re normal, but if it’s feeling normal that can be tricky.

The good news: Breasts often even out by around age 18. Until then, try a padded bra with inserts and take one out. Way better than tissue-stuffing.

I just turned 13 and I'm a B-cup (I was measured once at a store). My boobs are not very big but there not small either. The problem is my mom only gets me training bras!My friends even say it's weird to have a trainig bra when your this old with boobs that size. I really want to get a B-cup bra but my mom won't get me one even though I need it!Help!

Hey girl,

You'd be surprised how many moms are like this -- mine was the same way! Eventually I just bought them myself because she wouldn't let me wear anything with a wire, but they do make bras that have cups without wires, which is a in-between compromise, so see if your mom will go for that. Explain to her (calmly) that you think you're ready to wear real bras, and that you're growing up, even though it's hard for her to hear. Hopefully she'll understand and you can compromise!

Hey girly! Trust me when I say that no one else notices but you! If you're super insecure about it though, you can always get a padded bra, to even them out some! Smile

Mod my boobs are huge. I'm pretty skinny and curvy and super tall, I'm in eighth grade and I wear a D cup bra. My friends are always saying that they wish they had boobs as big as me but I hate them. I can't wear half the things they do because of school rules and I can only wear t-shirts to school. I hate it, but my friends are always saying that they wish they had my chest. I am always trying to make them smaller, what should I do




Hey girlie, there's nothing you can do right now to make them smaller. Keep looking for flattering tops that don't look trashy and embrace it.

It may seem bad having NO boobs, but it SUCKS having huge ones. Im 12 and have c- cups! and they are different sizes so i rather live without them. I hate it when i catch guys staring at them. im a conservative person and it makes me really uncomfortable!

hey dont worry i have that problem too! i hate it because i have to get almost two sizes a bigger bra for my left breast. luckily there are things you can do to help. on your larger breast, tighten up the strap. if this doesnt solve your issue, you can buy gel inserts at the nearest wal-mart. i think they range from probaly $15.00 -? but they really help alot. also for more help, try to get a size bigger t-shirt size than you normally are. Good luck! =]

I have already done the stages of growing new hair, getting my monthly peroid, and a start of boobs, but I have a huge problem. My right boob is twice the size of my right. ok so like myou guys say its normal for a girl to have two dif sizes but for me its REALLY bad! one is completely flat and the other is a b cup! and even when i wear a padded bra with underwire its still REALLY noticeable! some of my friends have even pointed it out to me! what do i do?!?!?!

 

Hey girlie, unfortunately there's no natural way to fix that difference. Instead of wearing padded bras find padded inserts that you can use for the smaller one while leaving the bigger one the same so that they look closer in size. You can probably find the inserts in stores like Target or lingerie stores.

so i went into a store and got measured and they told me i was a 32b, but i did a self measurement and it said i am a 32AA...idk wht 2 do! im so jealous of my friend, shes not flat at all and doesnt have to worry about these things.




hey! I'd go with the store's measurement, they know what they're doing. Don't be jealous, trust me, give it time and you'll catch up. Big boobs are overrated anyway, you can look better in certain clothes without them, and think about it, you probably look proportional and normal you might look strange with huge boobs, so just be happy being you!

Don't stuff your bra.  Just know, that after you're finished with puberty, everything will even out, and you're cup sizes will be the same! If you're wearing a real bra, the difference in size won't be noticeable!

Hey, so I'm turning 12, going to 7th grade (middle school) and I'm still flat (32A). :/ Not like a total flat-chest, but last year, guys at my school would really judge u by appearance, and all the attention would go 2 the girls who have bigger chests; which I'm really surprised, 'cause their like 36B and stuff like that, and they're only like 12. Tong Guys would sometimes tease me about it, but I would just ignore them.
Now, I'm going to 7th grade, and more ppl are gonna be in that school I'm going to, and I'm worried. (I already wear a padded bra, and I'd never do anything "fake".) Sure, I'm fine with everything else with my appearance, I guess, but is their anything else that I can do?




Theres nothing else you can do girl. Dont worry about your size though, my friend Kim is very small chested but she owns it and is comfortable with herself. So guys like her. If youre confident youll get the attention you want. Good luck! xoxo kerra

Because everyone's body is different, it's hard to say if your boobs will grow, or when they will grow.  Because you're 14, it seems like your on the younger side, and are still developing.  If you're really freaked out- ask your mom, or a sister about when they started developing, it might be help to give you a better time line!

That is good if they do even out when we reach 18, one of my friends has this problem and it bothers her so she uses different size pads. But like our teacher said last year our body parts like our hands, feet, eyes arent exactly the same so our boobs arent either. She even went into telling us about guys and their 'down there' stuff on how their secret parts arent the same size to. It was just a funny class but we learned a lot about body image. Its just worse for us because seeing the size and shape of our boobs happens everyday of our life and at least for guys you cant tell if they have different sized parts.

MOD MOD MOD MOD! I am leaving for the beach tomorrow.. and I am very insecure about my body. Not because I'm overweight or anything: but because of my skin. i have a skin condition called eczema. i hate it so much. i have itchy blotches and scabs almost every where, the backs of my legs are all red and bumpy and blotchy and my arms are covered in scabs and scars. i put cream on it and do my best to eat right and stay healthy but I still look terrible. I know you probably arent a dermatologist or anything.. but do you have any tips on staying confident and haveing fun even though I look like a zombie? sometimes i get really depresses cos everyone can see it and people wont shut up about it. I need help. thanks,

 

As you said, I'm not a dermatologist, but it seems like you are doing what you can! Make sure that you are careful with being out in the sun: whether or not that affects your eczema, you'll need to wear sunscreen. I think the best thing you can do is make yourself have confidence. Try to pretend that your eczema isn't there and focus on having fun and enjoying yourself. You probably notice the eczema more than other people do, because everyone is more critical of their own bodies than others are about it. Other people are probably focusing on their own vacations and not on your skin condition, so try to think about it that way. You don't want to ruin your vacation because you are self-conscious about it. If you show confidence by acting like it isn't there, hopefully nobody will notice or say anything. If people won't shut up about it, like you said, say something politely that them talking about it hurts your feelings or bothers you, and you'd like them to stop and just do whatever you were doing- playing a game, going in the ocean, etc. Hope you have a fun vacay! You could also talk to your dermatologist about seeing if there's anything else you can do or how the sun affects eczema.

is it true that milk helps your boobs get bigger?? if not, is there anything else you could eat or drink to make your breasts larger??

 

Hey girlie, I've never heard that before and it's probably not true. There's no natural way to make your breasts larger. The good news is that they keep growing until your in your late teens/early 20s so they might still get bigger on their own.

i went to the beach today with my friend and forgot to reapply my sunscreen after a few hours and now im scorched. i already took a cold shower and put on cold aloe. now im wearing loose clothes (a bright red shirt so my burn doesnt look as bad). anything else i can do to help my burn get better fast?

 

Hey girlie, just keep putting the aloe on. I've heard that putting vinegar on your burns can help, but I've never tried it. I've heard that wet teabags are good too. Next time you get in the shower take a hot one. It'll hurt at first,  but the hot water takes the heat of your sunburn and will make it feel better after the initial sting.

I don't think you should make out with him just because he's the only guy who likes you! You should wait for someone special.  You're probably excited to make out with someone, but it's worth the wait when it's with someone who you really like!

MODMODMOD as i have said in other mods my bra keeps poking my armpits, i am going to get new ones tommrow, but here is the prob i measured myself and im a 36C (which i already am) but no matter what i do my bra still pokes my pits! if u could mayb explain this and i was wondering if you can get fitted at jcpenney thanks so much!!!




If your bra is poking you, it's not that it's the wrong size, but rather it's the bras wire is in your way! There are plenty of people at JCPenney who would love to measure, and help you find the correct bra! Maybe try a wireless one, so you won't have any poking problems!

Ok I have bad stomach problems. It feels like cramps sometimes, but others it feels like I'm about to throw up! I went to the doctor and they put me on the pill. That was two weeks ago and I started a week and a half early today. Is that normal??? My friend thinks my stomach problems started around the time I got my braces and she thinks they might be related, what do u think? Plz help!




It's definitely normal that you got your period, because a pill is basically putting hormones into your body- so it's kind of a shock to the system.  About your stomach problems, it might just be growing pains! Your going through a lot of changes now, and your body is still trying to get used to them.  But I don't think it has anything to do with your braces.  If you are really concerned, maybe you should go back to the doctor!

Ok, the dancer MOD comment answered one of my questions, but Ihave wo different boob sizes too, and people at school noticed and, and now everyone thinks I stuff my bra! What should I do? I try to deny it, but people just say, "Okay..ay." and Laugh.




When people laugh, you obviously aren't going to tell them that your boobs are two different sizes.  Try not to let it get to you, but they just don't understand.

mod mod mod: im a pretty intese dancer, i dance four days a week. ive also danced since i was like three years old. do dancers usually have smaller boobs? cuz, mine are and a lot of girls that i dance with are.

Usually! People who dance and do gymnastics, and even ice skating tend to have smaller boobs.  I'm not sure why! I've heard that typically people who are more athletic have smaller boobs because they are more muscle.
