How can I get better at saying "no"?

People drive me crazy by asking for too many favors. I could say “no,” but I don’t like to let people down.

Dear Bad at Saying No,

You’re letting yourself down if you do favors you don’t want to do, so don’t be a pushover. Next time someone asks for a loan or homework answer or anything else you don’t want to say “yes” to, remind yourself they are asking, not ordering. “No” is a little word that can make a big difference.
