I cant fall asleep!

Every night I lie in my bed for hours unable to sleep, even though I’m tired. How can I finally get a better night’s rest?

What you’re describing is a classic symptom of insomnia, or the inability to fall asleep. This can be brought on by anything from stress to what you had to drink or eat during the day. To catch some much-needed zzz’s, first try nixing naps and caffeine, which can make you wired well into the evening. Then, go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.

If you toss and turn for more than 10 minutes, get out of bed and sit in the dark (sorry, no TV or Internet!) until you get sleepy, then lie back down. Tried everything? Consult your doctor. He or she can help you make your sweet dreams come true.
