POSTED IN school, bust school stress, in trouble
if you left it at home, they'd think you were cutting!!!
by JBgal33♥ on 11/7/2011 4:38:25 PM
The people who want to skip will just take theirs off... I think it's a good idea, but it needs to be developed more to please everyone.
by emagenta on 8/17/2011 1:41:52 AM
I agree with Joetta97- they should give the trackers to kids who have skipped class before, not to everyone. then maybe it would prevent the other kids from skipping b/c they don't want to get tracked!
by thecupcakequeen on 6/14/2011 12:41:47 AM
this scares me
by emilee571 on 5/29/2011 6:36:06 PM
i think that it is a bad idea. it is an invasion of our privacy. sure we shouldnt be skipping class, but that tears it!
by Grace_Girl on 5/23/2011 3:37:29 PM
thats kinda stupid cuz its ur life and ur fault if u skip class and all. plud it not there biz if u want to not learn. its ur life!
by cloudlover on 5/21/2011 3:02:39 PM
We don't have that at our school, but we have the stupidest thing ever. They put up these cheap plastic circles on the ceiling that have absolutely no technological abilities whatsoever and they've tried to convince us that those are "cameras" just so we don't do anything bad in the hallways.
by girlsliferocksss98 on 4/6/2011 9:53:46 PM
I find it completely idiotic that people write "First Comment!" like halfway down the page.
by girlsliferocksss98 on 4/6/2011 9:51:28 PM
Lol when i read the heading of the home page i thought it said "Considered Cutting Yourself in Class? You May Be Digitally Tracked While Doing So"
by girlsliferocksss98 on 4/6/2011 9:47:54 PM
i could be bad but if someone is kidnapped after school it could be helpful in finding the person...
by lilypod14 on 3/31/2011 8:32:37 PM
aaah dont lik this idea at all were teens of course were gonna cut class or be somewhere we shouldnt be every once in a while!! lol(: this is crazy but i not gonna worry about it my school would never spend money on this hahaha they no they would hafta suspend about every1!! COMMENT ON MY PROFILE!!!!! me(:
by awesomeful on 1/30/2011 1:03:43 PM
It's kind of wierd but good....... like if you're late and you say your locker was stuck or you were in the bathroom they can see if you really were and save you from a detention...... it is an invasion of privacy like if you're in high school and you leave something in your car and you go get it they might say your trying to cut class!
by 34492kimmy8 on 1/18/2011 2:28:44 PM
Horrible idea!!!! that's such an invasion of privacy!
by emowriter on 1/10/2011 10:44:08 PM
I don't think that they can see you, but they just track you, and plus its illegal for people to watch you with a camera in the bathroom and stuff, I would know my dad's a cop. But for sure, invasion of privisy
by heather99 on 1/2/2011 5:11:46 PM
That is the worst idea ever!
by lollypopp629 on 12/20/2010 1:33:38 AM
thats kinda creepy, what if one of the teachers is a creeper or somthing? i dont like it.
by kiri123 on 12/9/2010 5:17:00 AM
i kinda thought about skipping class one timebut im soo paranoid that my mom will find out! lol but hey kids,,,once your in middle school you WiLL wanna skip!
by Cristal1011cr on 11/26/2010 9:30:04 PM
My friends are always in trouble for skipping class. At first, I tried to stop them, but now i tell them "Go ahead. It's your fault when you fail, and are stuck here for another year." Putting the idea of being stuck in my crappy school system for another year makes them go to class and actually attempt to pass. Now they mostly have "b" averages just because they go to class and do the work.
by Ruby0013 on 11/21/2010 8:38:34 PM
i think it is an invasion of privacy. in college they dont baby sit you. they let u pay the price, flunk, nd miss out on a day of education. but depending on the grade, they shud giv u sum sort of punishment or sumthin.
by DanceFreak99 on 11/18/2010 9:45:17 PM
No one should be cutting class anyway. But I dont think they should be doing that to us just to know where we are. Most of us are responsible, but I know some of the people who are skipping classes are the ones who always get in trouble.
by luckykel on 11/6/2010 11:42:16 PM
i think they shouldnt do that. i would let the kids skip class. whatever they miss they are going to have to make on there own time or flunk the class. its their choice. they should be old enough to make that decision without having to be tracked.
by keri49 on 10/21/2010 3:08:03 PM
i think its good bt than not cuz its is kinda of stlkersih! bt we do need to find another way to stop kids from skipping classes.
by LOVENCANDY13 on 10/11/2010 2:02:44 PM
what is this world comeing to whats next a gps traking system out ide of school and och an plant thats ptitty low
by snowbell464 on 10/5/2010 3:26:00 PM
uhhh.... i think that is an invasion of privacy.thats kind of stalkerish. and nobody has name tags anymore unless u r lyk in the 1st grade! couldnt that be lyk illegal? what if they did that with adult's liscences? that would definetely b illegal so 1 step down from it doesnt seem ok in my opinion (CREEPERS)
by artsgurl983 on 10/4/2010 4:01:57 PM
invasion of privacy and just anothe step away from republic govt i would think it would be illigal
by emandemf on 9/27/2010 5:28:47 PM
it is a little creepy....
by jazzara on 9/20/2010 5:20:30 PM
that's kinda freaky and invasive. i hope my school doesn't get that anytime soon. do you guys have questions about anything? ask me on my profile! i answer really fast and give some of the best advice around! thanks nat
by natalieisyourmod on 9/16/2010 10:14:36 AM
that is way creepy! what if you had to go to the bathroom or something? would they like barge in there and go to your stall and be like why araent you in class?! you would be like i had to pee... lol but really thats just plan creepy. i dont want my school stalking me.
by sportscutie14 on 9/15/2010 4:05:33 PM
That is so dumb! At my school we take role in every class and over the computers it goes to the main office. If your name does not come up when it should they know you skiped. We also put out role lists that say who was there at the start of the day and if you miss a day of school you get a piece of paper that says you were gone so that your teachers know if you were gone or skiped.
by softball48 on 9/14/2010 10:56:58 PM
thats a HUGE invasion of privacy!!! i would NEVER let my school do that!! thats horrible!!! i mean our school has security cameras in every hallway just not in the bathrooms so if they needed to check if someone was constantly cutting they could; but TRACKING everyone 24/7???!!! thats freaking retarded!
by turtles_in_africa on 9/12/2010 2:09:52 PM
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! WHERE IS OUR FREEDOM? THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO KNOW WHERE WE ARE 24/7! THAT IS OUR BUISNESS, NOT THEIRS!! THAT'S UNCONSTITUTIONAL! ABSOLUTELY RIDICOULUS.
by laaaaaaaaaa on 9/11/2010 8:42:07 PM

by chicka678 on 9/8/2010 10:41:26 AM
even if this is for a good reason its kinda over board dont u think?
by Mickey_Mouse_Rox on 9/8/2010 9:31:48 AM
I believe it's a good idea for the equipment. Graphing calculators alone can cost up to $150 a piece! As for the students it has it's advantages and disadvantages. Students couldn't skip class and kids couldn't get abducted as easily. but you sacrfice freedom and privacy. Does the good outweigh the bad? That's a matter of opinion.
by Stargazin1 on 9/7/2010 11:20:48 PM
NO that is a invasion of Privacy!!! Thats just crazy if they did that!!
by nickluverjb on 9/7/2010 10:44:11 PM
yeah that's waaaaay overboard and invation of privacy and just not neccesary!!!!!
by kittycadet101 on 9/7/2010 10:40:12 PM
NO! That is totally weird! There must be a better way to stop kids from cutting class! With the whole tracking thing, it would not only be a huge invastion of privacy but it would also be a little creepy knowing that people know exactly where you are!
by 17cheergirl! on 9/7/2010 10:29:11 PM
Heck no! I mean they could be creepers! I think it's going overboard. I don't get adults sometimes..... but my private school is very tough on us on what we wear, like if our shirts aren't tucked in, or we aren't wearing belts with pants or shirts! UGH! No logos, nothing! Blue or white t-shirts, and 6-8 grade can wear khakis, but kindergarten-8th grade can also wear navy skirts or pants and shorts. Plus the skirts have to have shorts under them. Our new principal is going really too far on out rules, even the 2nd graders agree, and even grunted along with us when we heard the new rules! LOL!
by luvshorty5 on 9/7/2010 10:20:18 PM
what if a teacher stalks you...?
by readerhi1234 on 9/7/2010 10:10:32 PM
I don't think its a good idea, data can be innacurate. lik if ur going to a doc appointment and go late it will say you are at home, therefore they think u lied.
by readerhi1234 on 9/7/2010 10:09:08 PM
by chicka678 on 9/7/2010 9:15:24 PM
HEACK NO its wrong and totaly unethical i mean its just wrong wrong wrong if you skip class sucks for you make up the work get caught but dont drag me into it
by sweetypie on 9/7/2010 8:12:56 PM
i know they have a good reason but isn't kinda extreem? anyway... my ss teacher said that when he was in 8th grade him and his friends tryed to cut and go to the mall- he didn't run fast enough and got a suspention for cutting and his friends said none of the stores were open and it was really boring.
by lilsmilyface on 9/7/2010 7:22:09 PM
i understand why they're doing this, but it's a little extreme b/c say you are at school but you got grounded and your mom has your phone and the school thinks you're somewhere else. or you got sick and go to the doctor and you text your mom to say you're done with your check-up and the school catches it. it's going to be quite innacurate and i think it's sort of an invasion of privacy. just sayin. comment on my profile i give advice about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck with this sitch.
by narnianpirate on 9/7/2010 5:15:23 PM
They should give them 2 students who have a history of cutting class and the ones who don't have to where them.
by Joetta97 on 9/7/2010 4:09:55 PM
um creepy...
by Photochickie on 9/7/2010 4:05:47 PM
ITS STALKERISSHH. Its your problem if you skip class.
by lipsmackers789 on 9/7/2010 10:42:30 AM
that is just creepy... who cares if u cut class? ur gonna get a sulky education, and crap up ur entrie life
by SecretID on 9/7/2010 6:53:20 AM
I'm not one of the students who would do this, and I still say this is going way too far. This is an invasion of privacy.
by i_luv_devin on 9/7/2010 1:48:06 AM
this is creepy wat if one of the teachers are stalking you?....
by muney574 on 9/6/2010 10:58:05 PM
That is CREEEPPPYYYY! They need to learn to trust us. Total Invasion of Privacy, anyone?
by Beluga-swim on 9/6/2010 10:54:13 PM
That is INCREDIBLY creepy, and a total invasion of privacy. The school doesn't need to know where we are and what we're doing every second of the day. Honestly, that's abusing your power to the fullest extent. Just take attendance and be done with it. This is NOT necissary.
by Blue-Eyed-Lily on 9/6/2010 9:35:05 PM
thats invading privacy! we have camras all over my school anyways. theres no esaping them plus kids could just leave there id cards at home it wont work
by *dancingchica* on 9/6/2010 9:24:01 PM
ugg no I am hate dis just don't skip I mean wat if ur in the bathroom
by cre8tive_2114 on 9/6/2010 8:37:55 PM
Oh my gosh that's crazy. It's totally invading privacy
by Mjpmmd on 9/6/2010 8:34:51 PM
dats a lil creepy.. god adults need 2 give us some space!! and.. there r a ton of reasons why dat wouldnt work! these ppl need to give their students some privacy!!
by jumprope on 9/6/2010 8:16:29 PM
i think its kinda stupid...can't they just leave their tags in their lockers or something? they should spend their money on something more useful...like textbooks or better technology and skipping classes will just bite em in the butt later...plus can't they just take attendance or something? wat if there was an emergency w/ the student or something? i thnk its dumb
by twilightgrrl678 on 9/6/2010 8:15:41 PM
i think its a great idea but a little stalkerish. i wouldnt want someone to know where i am all the time!!!
by sweetchic1116 on 9/6/2010 7:38:53 PM
i dont think that would actually work. if you have to wear an ID tag, whats to keep you from just leaving it in your locker at school before skipping? i do think it is an ok idea though, even though it is kind of an invasion of privacy.
by poetic_cow1993 on 9/6/2010 7:22:35 PM
wayyy to close and personal! "oh look, this girl's in the bathroom right now" i mean, how weird is that!!!! my school just calls home if you miss a period and your parents can call to confirm if it's cleared or not and then you get in trouble if you ditched. if it happens frequently, and it's suspiciously "cleared" every time, the parent is asked to visit to make sure that they were the ones "ok"ing the calls.
by kata8888 on 9/6/2010 7:14:43 PM
Whats wrong with just taking attendance? Besides, the money would be better spent on new textbooks or more staff or something.
by dancingqueen96 on 9/6/2010 7:14:15 PM
wow i think that is going wayyy too far. Skipping classes isn't that serious and the consequences will catch up with them later in life. I wouldn't like the school board knowing where I am, what if i'm in the bathroom? I would like to keep my privacy thank you very much.
by bookworm22 on 9/6/2010 6:56:24 PM
Thats a bit invasive...what if we have to leave early because of an emergency but then the tag doesnt know that and we are falsely accused of skipping school?? plus i cud see issues with kids leaving the chipped stuff else where while they skip or leave a false trail...
by fastbutterflyer on 9/6/2010 6:45:55 PM
I think it's an invasion of privacy. I don't think the problem is too severe. Hopefuly this isn't happening at my school.
by one-shooting-starr on 9/6/2010 6:36:38 PM
thts kinda creepy....it's kinda smart to tho then you know where everyone is especially in emgerenices.(did i spell that right???haha) but i think it is a little too far.
by hotsox9 on 9/6/2010 6:26:01 PM
...Isn't that alittle too far?It isn't THAT serious.I find it creepy...
by perfect pink rice 2 on 9/6/2010 5:41:31 PM
our schools dont have that specific thing but theres cameras EVERYWHERE! so theres no escaping them lol
by blondie123abc on 9/6/2010 5:38:53 PM
I get what they're trying to do, everyone's parent wants them to succeed in life. But at my school, it's SO easy for ANYONE to skip. It doesn't help that there's two buildings to go in and out from and kids have so much freedom. There's really no adult watching right over them. But I guess it would also suck, if there was. I think that the kids need to face he consequences of skipping themselves. I seriously don't know what goes on in there minds. Don't they wanna have a life in the future? What the heck do they think they'll do after high school?! Go to the woods and smoke weed?! [Yup, that's exactly what they do since our school is right next to it.] It's crazy.
by NJessicaN on 9/6/2010 5:35:30 PM
baaaaaaaaaaaad idea...the kids at my school would not be ok with that
by raj95 on 9/6/2010 5:30:52 PM
I for one think its an invasion of our privacy. What if your in the bathroom when they track you and they watch you and go, "Hey, she's been in the bathroom for 5 minutes maybe she's trying to cut", and send teachers in after you when you really just had to go badly. That's just wrong.
by pianoyeah on 9/6/2010 4:54:33 PM
Thats kinda scary.. knowing that the school can see where you are at all times. At my school we have this thing where if you are gone from school or class your parents get an email sayin u were gone.
by frostybunny9 on 9/6/2010 4:04:03 PM
first comment? this is a very scary thought tracked on campus..........
by Xjazzy4lifeX on 9/6/2010 3:38:44 PM
i dont think schools should go to that much trouble to keep kids from skipping..its the kids problem if they're not in class learning, they'll just get a bad grade, right? besidess barely anyone at my school skips
by partyy like a rockstar on 9/6/2010 3:33:43 PM
i don't do anything that i'd worry about the school finding out. so i think it might be a good thing.
by starringlola on 9/6/2010 3:32:59 PM
I mean, I think this is going a little too far. Plus, couldn't you just leave your tag in a classroom so it looks like your there? or what if youre going to the bathroom? when do administrators know if you're skipping or just taking a long time in the ladies room? Seems drastic to me.
by lemonz101 on 9/6/2010 3:31:01 PM
hello?! it's a total invasion of privacy! so not coolz!
by cc0622 on 9/6/2010 3:05:58 PM
alittle of both
by daninic on 9/6/2010 2:45:57 PM
It's an invasion of privacy! I don't want the school knowing everywhere I go!
by surfingsun on 9/6/2010 2:40:40 PM
Uh first comment i guess! I think the school officials should give the students some space! Setting trackers isnt the best idea.. it may help them track the students but it may create some madness between the students, them, and the parents..
by jumprope on 9/6/2010 2:31:46 PM

I think its an invasion of privacy, its not right. At our school we have cameras near the doors to see who is leaving, and if they are they call the students parents.
by nsadaqat on 9/6/2010 2:10:25 PM
I'm pretty sure my school doesnt do that, but when we are going from class to class, we sometimes have hallsweeps, which suck. Hey Girlies! no thanks i don't want my school knowing when i go to the bathroom!
by orangeache on 9/6/2010 12:15:42 PM
It is a breach of privacy!!!! I would not skip class but i feel they should not have the power to trake you if you did nothing wrong. no one should be able to trak you without a juge giving them a warrant. I hate this idea!!!!!!!!
by lily111 on 9/6/2010 12:14:28 PM
I def think its an invasion of privacy. There should be other ways to tell where students are. Plus, what if a student just leaves their ID card somewhere at school and sneaks off?
by ManderzRockz on 9/6/2010 11:55:00 AM
I think that they're trying to stop skipping class, but I think tracking down students is a little too much...
by Swimlover4life on 9/6/2010 11:52:44 AM
I think that it is waaaaaaaayyyyyy too extreme. Teachers take attendance for a reason. And, if your not at school cuz your sick, your mom or dad can always phone in.
by americangirl750 on 9/6/2010 11:34:44 AM
I feel safe! The police have a classroom to themselves at our school to meet up and have some equipment just in case something happens around the area.
by HAZELELMDUST on 9/6/2010 11:27:13 AM
FIRST COMMENT! haha welll... i think that it would be pretty cool but most students are probably not thinking that cuz maybe they are the type to cut class and they wouldnt wantt o get caught. but really i would never. and probably a lot of other kids wouldnt either so it could be a waste. but maybe not . just its depending on the kids there i guess. but ithink parents of the kds would like it i guessi f they had a history of vutting classes. sooo idk
by fbvb13 on 9/6/2010 11:07:09 AM
That sounds a little bit like the school's trying to stalk you.
by nala0314 on 9/6/2010 10:59:35 AM

I think this is ridiculous! It is a complete invasion of privacy. What right does the administration have to always know your whereabouts? Do they really need to be able to see, "Oh look. Carrie's in the bathroom. Now she's walking into the hallway..." I mean, maybe something like having to sign in or out of a class when you leave the room, but having i.d. tags and chips? That's a bit extreme.
by bumblebeezy on 9/6/2010 10:38:57 AM
Thats SOOOO STUPID!!!!! I completely agree that its a total invasion of privacy!!!!!!!!!!!!

by singdancewrite1015 on 9/6/2010 10:11:51 AM
I think its one of those things for the best. On a noral day it could be really annoying, but it could prevent major disater. Like if a a student had a weapon and the school security knew who their name, they easily prevent a tragedy.
by orangeslice on 9/6/2010 10:09:55 AM
I don't see a problem with it. If students say It's an invasion of privacy then those must be the kids who are doing stuff in school that they shouldn't be doing.
by FibromyalgiaSucks on 9/6/2010 10:00:53 AM
1st comment! That's just plain creepy!!
by LiveLaughLuvRock on 9/6/2010 9:43:33 AM
First comment yay! Anyways.. i dont like the idea of them tracking their students. These school officials r getting 2 close 2 the students. Teens need some space.
