To make $$$ go to a goodwill and buy all of the videogames they have. (About $1.99 each) Then go to a gamestop. Sell them for about $5 each. That's $3 a game times 10 games is $30 profit!!!

Hey I have the same question as jingle636 - what jobs can we get?!
by XDuckeysXRuleX on 12/9/2010 3:32:24 PM
I love thrift stores. At first, I did NOT want to wear clothes that used to belong to other people. Once I tried Plato's Closet, I was hooked. They have a lot of name-brand clothes, like Hollister and Aeropostale. I go shopping at Plato's almost every weekend with my friends and it's GREAT!!!

It's true, thrift stores can be really incredible. You can get half a dozen pairs of slightly used jeans for the price of one pair of new ones! Places like Goodwill take clothes you donate, so they can sell them super cheap. Also, garage sales are great and can be even cheaper than gift stores! Money is a little tight, although not too tight, in my family as well and my awesome grandma buys about 90% of my clothes at garage sales. She even scored a pair of Levi's for me once for just a few bucks! I know this seems super dorky, but you can make your own clothes in the same style as popular ones if you have a sewing machine, fabric, and thread. You won't be paying the store for the labor, profit, or advertising! There are also screenprinting kits available for making cute designs on T-shirts (just don't copy other people's designs exactly, as this might get you into trouble). Who knows, you could even start your own store someday!

uggh same thing with me- I am fat so I can't fit any clothing & we have no money to buy clothes so I have to wear the same clothing repeatedly everyweek
by Samocin97 on 10/16/2010 3:35:05 PM
Ughhhh, thats whats happening to meee. My family just started sending me to a private school that i ♥,but since it is expensive, ive had to cut down on clothes money....alot. It annoys me that my firneds are like "I got 200$ to go shopping." When i only get,sayyy,$75. *shrugs* No biggie though, i love my 'rents for sending me to this school, and if it means less clothes,then,well... Oh well.(:

hey i know how you feel. my family is having money problems too, and we have to put alot of things on hold. I never knew how important money was. but your not alone. and thrift stores are AMAZING! you get more clothes there and there are some where you can return clothes that you do dont even wear anymore and they give you money! hang in there. things will get better.

Thrift shops are the BEST! I have found the most amazing things there, and I get so many compliments. I found hollister jeans for a dollar, brands like banana republic and H&M, and even a Dolce&Gabanna skirt for $3!! You can also find the coolest vintage things. I got my homecoming dress for $5 and got it altered, so I got something unique for about the same price as a typical mall dress. Have fun thrifting =)

LOL. I have the same shirt the girl is wearing in the picture. Only it's red. And I got it from Ross. Ross is a good option for cheap shopping.

I got my homecoming dress at a thrift store called plato's closet for $15!! It is so cute and people usually only wear them once! Why pay 50 or more dollars on something that you will probably never wear again? I love plato's closet! check to see if they have one in your area because you can buy name brand items such as hollister and american eagle for really cheap!

I shop at thrift stores all the time! You can actually sometimes find brand new things with the tags still on them! I even have found things from Delias and Delias is a pretty expensive store! I have also found things from Ambercombie and Aeropostale for only a dollar! You can also find things that no one else has! So you can get a good price on clothes and still have your own unique style! And no one ever has what you have if you shop at thrift stores! I think more people need to realize that not everything has to be brand new or name brand!

Try thrift/consignment stores. my local one even has a system for everything they carry (books, dvds, music, games, clothing, etc.) where the tag they put on lists dates for when the prices will slash EVEN more. also, if that date is a week ahead,. you can have your item put on hold so nobody else can buy it. or even less than a week! Just one warning: some kids may see your designer designs are from like 3 years ago... but who cares! clothing!

Whatcha think of this? Any changes? What makeup should I wear with it? What style would it be? Do the dark navy blue heels look ok? Would this work multipurposely? What age group would you suggest wear it? My outfit: pink shirt with a piecesign on it layered look looks like shirtsleeves then long sleeves under with amulets and it has rhinestones arounf the big piece sign hat: dark gray hat that says blizzard of 09' a black mini skirt of a interesting material I'm not famaliar with with a little ribbon at the bottom and dark navy blue heels

first comment? these are good ideas if you're low on $$. but i think it's easier to just wait for big sales and then shop. get good deals on trendy clothes. =]
