I'm Too Pale

My legs are really pale. My skin is naturally pale but my legs are as white as a ghost. Is it because of poor circulation in my legs?

Hey hon, chances are your paleness is no biggie. Unless your legs suddenly became very pale, there’s no reason to worry. A drastic change in color, though, is cause for concern and you should call your doctor right away.

Pay attention

Keep a journal for a week and note any changes in the color of your legs. Also write down how you’re feeling at the time. Are they pale throughout the day or later in the evening? Paleness can sometimes be a symptom of stress, illness and fatigue. Getting regular sleep can help restore color to your body.

Signs of poor circulation

If your legs start turning purple or blue, then you should see your doctor immediately. This means the blood in your legs is not flowing properly. Also, if you experience weird feelings in your legs, such as tingling, numbness or a cramp, you may have poor circulation. But usually those sensations are experienced when you’ve been sitting on your leg or in one position, like cross-legged, for too long. Get up and stretch your legs often to prevent circulation issues.

 Get moving

There are plenty of ways to improve the circulation in your legs, such as exercising regularly. Aim for 20 to 30 minutes of cardio at least three days a week. Not only will it boost circulation, but it will help your metabolism and overall health. Remember, your doctor is the best person to talk to about your health. You’ll feel so much better once you do!

Lots of love,

L’Oreal
