Bullied at school

 
 
Three boys at school always pick on me. Like, when I was looking for my friend, one boy said, “She’s probably avoiding you.” Another time, I told them my mom had been a junior national tennis champ and one said, “I bet she stinks now!” It’s hurtful, and sometimes I say mean things back. I tried telling a teacher and was called a “tattletale!”
 
Dear Bullied,
 
Telling a teacher makes more sense when a situation is truly threatening. Every school has means kids, but let these boys’ meanness be their problem--not yours. Hang out with the nice kids; every school has them, too. As for saying mean things back, don’t go down that road. It’s better to laugh or walk away. Focus on friends you like, not on three clowns. OK?

I agree just to ignore them. If they don't get a rise out of you, they will probably leave you alone. Smile MOD MOD MOD MOD Hi, how are you? Smile The other day their was an article on here about Twilight. I said that I didn't like it and why. (I find it highly offensive to woman and think Edward is an abusive, controlling boyfriend.) However, my comments were deleted. I wasn't being rude in them so I don't understand why they were deleted? I think GL should post an article about the bad things in Twilight! It is a horrible influence on young teen girls who might think that kind of relationship is normal and healthy when it is far from it. Sorry, I just feel very passionate about that.

MOD Well, I want to go to my friend's Youth Group tonight, but she might not be there, and neither will another one of my friends. But the guy I like is going and there is a chance my friend will go. If she doesn't though, I might not get a ride home. What do you think I should do? ~lasagna~

 

 

Hey girly girl! It's pretty important that you have a way home. I'd talk to your rents and see if they can give you a ride if your friend doesn't go. If they say yes, then I'd go, and try to chat up your crush!
