How can I be more like my sister?

Check these out, too...

  • Does my brother have ADD, or is he just annoying?
  • 3 times it's OK to tell your bestie's secret
  • Should I set up my sis with her crush?
  • Do guys only care about chest size?
  • I'm following Mom's no-makeup rule, but sis is sneaking it!
I can't live up to my older sister. She's a model student, has a ton of friends, guys ask her out 24/7 and she even had a modeling company offer to represent her.

I’m just OK in school, I have friends but not like her, guys rarely give me the time of day and I'm curvy instead of skinny.

I know that people always say not to compare yourself to others, but I can't help it. I'm 5’6”, 120 pounds and have D-cups which I hate. I'm sick of finding cute clothes that I can't wear because of my body. How do I become more like her?

Hey there, girlie. Sorry to hear about the rough sitch. It’s way tough to walk in someone else’s shadow. I know it’s super hard to not compare yourself to her, but the sooner you do, the better you’ll feel.

It may seem like your big sis has it all, but no one is perfect. Most people are their own worst critic, so even though she seems perfect to you, she probably sees flaws in herself. The secret to her popularity and bright smile: confidence.

You can be who and whatever you want to be. Wanna be more outgoing? Start small by just saying “hi” and having nice convos with those around you, then work on putting yourself out there more. It’s hard at first, but no one will fault you for your stellar personality.

As for not liking your body, trust me, you’re so not alone. No one is 100% happy with how they look—even your sis. Instead of concentrating on what you think are negatives, focus on the positives. To name just a few, you’re a great height, you’re healthy and you’re def not overweight. When it comes to shopping, not everything is going to look good because everyone has diff body types. It’s all about finding something that you feel great in and flaunting it.

Talk to your sis and let her know that sometimes you feel insecure next to her. She’ll be able to let you in on her tips to social, romantic, academic and style success. And who knows, maybe you’ll find out she has a few insecurities of her own. But, you aren’t your sister, so stop comparing yourself to her! I know it can be hard to see, but you are absolutely beautiful the way you are.

Big hugs,

~Kristen Y. <3

MOD-
I really messed up. I'm going to deal with my parents consequences and I'm not going to be around the people I made the bad choices with. How can I regain my parents trust and make them believe that I'm a good kid? It's really bothering me to think they don't have a good daughter anymore..

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!!! tomorrow i have to speak infront of the entire school and there families. im super nervous! im trying ot memorize the speak so i dont mess up as much, but its about 6 paragraphs long. Do you have any tips on calming down and not messing up?

Hey girly girl! Public speaking is the worst. I would make sure to get to bed early tonight, so you can wake up early and feeling ready for your speech tomorrow.

  • During your speech, relax and smile. Take a deep breath. Pretend that you're talking to a group of friends. Your confidence will show.

  • Try to make eye contact. If you can't do that, then pick a spot to look at above someone's head.Take your time. Don't rush through your presentation. Preparation is key, so go over your speech tonight, and tomrorow before class. Good luck! Smile

I had a tantrum. And ended cutting myself. It's not a huge cut. Actually it's not even a cut. It's like a scrape. A little teeny itzy bitzy line. And if you look at it it's not bleeding but it's like red. It's barely bleeding.
