How can I smell better down there?

Last October I got my first period and I’ve heard of feminine odor, but recently I've had a really strong smell from “down there.” It rubs on my underwear and I can smell it all day long. Do you have any advice on how to get rid of it?

Welcome to womanhood. Discharge is sometimes just part of the game when you start going through puberty. But, luckily, there are some ways to deal. You can try getting some scented pantyliners, which will both help get the underwear sitch under control, and add a friendly scent.

While it’s not good to wash down there with soap in the shower, there are some soap-free cleansers that are safe to use. Check your local CVS. And while you’re there, you can also grab some cleansing wipes. Not the kind for cleaning household surfaces, but feminine wipes for this specific purpose.

Good luck, girl!

Sometimes, water gets boring. Try adding a little bit of lemon juice freshly sqeezed from a lemon wedge. It will give the water a brighter taste and wake up your taste buds.
