Ornate t-shirts are all the rage, but sometimes the price tags make us tremble. That’s why we totally dig this DIY project that’ll make your tops unique without breakin’ the bank.

What you’ll need:

Sewing needle

Thread

Scissors

Assorted buttons

Shirt (A scoop neck or V-neck works nicely. Also try sewing the corsage on the collar of a button-down shirt.)

What you’ll do:

1. Lay out your shirt on a flat surface. Choose a few buttons from your stash and place them on your shirt in the layout you prefer. Play with the number, size, color and arrangement of the buttons until you find a combo you adore.

2. Choose your starting point and sew the buttons on the shirt in a sequential order. As you travel between buttons, use a tiny stitch here or there so that you don’t have big stitches on the other side of the shirt. Also be careful not to pull your thread too tight to avoid puckering the fabric…and don’t sew the back and the front of your tee together!

3. When you have reached the last button, make a button and cut your thread. Gorgeous!

Gift it! Wanna make this into a prezzie for your favorite girl? Easy. Grab an inexpensive cotton t-shirt at a store--Forever 21 has an awesome selection with lots of choices on the cheap--and get busy.

My mom and I have jars full of buttons. I think this is a great idea, especially if you pick the right colors and sizes. And its doesnt cost anything but my time to make them, that is the best part.

Hey girlie, just wear a pair of jeans with a sweater or long sleeve shirt. Whatever you feel comfortable in.

I am on the heavier side. And I was wondering if layers make u look bigger or thinner.

Hey girlie, to look thinner you can wear vertical stripes and darker colors. Layers can make your face look thinner.

MODMODMODMODMODMODMODMODMODMODMOD so there's this guy...he's on my swim team. he swims in the second group with us girls even though he's supposed to swim with the guys. i knew him last year but we never talked but now we do and he calls me his bff. he always hugs me too. it sounds like he likes me but i don't know. he acts like he does around me and only me(no other girl on the team either). but i'm not sure cause he has a girlfriend who's in his grade (8th) while i'm in 7th. what do you think??

Hey girly girl! I would lay low and not pursue anything until this guy is single. After all, if he were to pursue something with you now, when he has a gf, who's to say he wouldn't do that with another girl if you were together?

MOD MOD MOD!!
I have a question...There is this guy, and he is in 10th grade. We go to a very small school. We were both in the musical together, he was the lead, I was a suporting role. We hung out a ton at practices. He hugs me, and calls me "sweets" and stuff like that. One time, he was sitting down on the stage, and our director called for places, then he reached out his hand for me to help him up, I took his hand, then I pulled him up, once he was up, he didn't let go of my hand. I had to be onstage sitting at a desk, as he was walking off stage, we were kind of holding hands. Another time, he was texting, then he walked over to me, and said "Katie, how do you spell 'theater'?" I told him, and he goes "Thanks, your awesome!" then he gave me a hug. He didn't let go for a while. Before we went on stage, he would fix my outift, and my hair. One time, he went to go visit his sis in collage, and he told me I should of come.

Hey Girl. Sounds like he is into you! Good luck!

MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!!!
Hey! So, I have a question...my friend is in her first year in collage. (I am in 7th grade) Last year, everyone in our grade got mentors, and she was mine. Over the summer, we've become not mentor and mentee, but friends. I am also good friends with her brother (he is in 10th grade) and we are hanging out today. She might come to my house, and we will walk and stuff. Her brother might come. What do you think we should do. They are both a lot older than me.

Hey girlie! That sounds like a lot of fun! If they come over to your house, ask if they want to go for a walk and chat a bit! See how she likes college, and if it was a big change for her. Then after catching up, see if they want to go catch a movie or play a board game. While they may seem lame, board games are actually a great way to friendly compete with other people while still chatting while playing! Good luck! And don't be afraid to get creative-ask them what they would like to do, too!
