Every shopaholic knows the big turkey dinner on Thursday is mostly to fuel you for the fashion frenzy that is Black Friday. The OMG-worthy prices, the mad rush to find the perfect gift – it’s outta control. Just because everyone else is frantically running around, doesn’t mean you should follow their lead. Stay on top of your game with our shopping tips for finding everything you want on Black Friday.
Go in a group
Sure the big draw is the crazy sales, but why take the fun out of it? Bring a friend along, or turn it into a family tradition. Your girls can give you a hand finding what’s on your list, weigh in on clothes in the dressing room and have fun. Don’t forget to see if your shopping buds wanna go splitsies on a oh-so-perf gift for a mutual friend or family member.
Remember the rules of the rack
Rummaging through endless racks and clutters of clothes can be cuh-razy on Black Friday. After you’re done, try not to leave a messy pile for the shopgirls. It takes a few seconds to hang up your items before you leave. Happy salespeople mean a much better shopping experience. Trust me on this—I work in a boutique, too!
Don’t drop that dress
It’s a dog-eat-dog world on Black Friday. Don’t put any item down until you’re 100% sure you don’t want it, or someone else will grab it. If that does happen, keep your cool. No good can come from fighting over an item that you can find in another store.
Black Friday Alternatives
Hate crowds? Lots of fab sales extend past the wee hours on Friday. Find one-of-a-kind items at local shops on Small Business Saturday. Or, ask your parents if they can order items on Cyber Monday to steer clear of the stores entirely.
We’re psyched to check out faves like AE, Kohl’s and JCPenney to stock up on cute winter clothes. Where will you girlies be heading? Share in the comments below.
