To cut or not to cut

Check these out, too...

I have been through a lot of stress and considered cutting myself. Please help.

Dear To Cut of Not to Cut,

No, no, no, don’t cut yourself! That will not help anything. I’m sorry you’ve been stressing, but there are healthy ways to relieve stress. Spill all in your diary. Make art. Eliminate activities you aren’t totally into to free up your schedule. Go to bed earlier. Walk with a friend or parent. Take up running or a sport. Instead of hurting yourself, take care of yourself. And above all, find someone to talk to, like a school counselor or understanding aunt or older friend, or talk to your parents about seeing a therapist. You don’t have to feel this way.

mod mod,
"Hey darling. Don't feel alone for you know you always have us Photography, painting and anime are great ways to help you through those tough times. Writing can be very helpful too, so if you are worried about your dad reading your stuff, get a notebook that has a lock on it and wear the key around your neck. Or, you can hide the diary between the mattresses of your bed"
the thing is, he looks under my matress all the time, and through my computr when he gets really angry...sometimes i just cant deal with it and i run to my room and feel i can't resist the raser or the poket knife hidden behind the porcelin doll, sometimes i feel like my dad bought a paid for me and my siblings just to win my mom over(my dad adoptted us kids except my youngest brother who is his)

Hey darling. You shouldn't feel that way. You're a human being who has great talent and artistic skills - something so much more than an item which is bought in order to gain the affection of another. Remember, your dad is one person - there are hundreds of people out there who know what a great and accomplished person you are (this includes myself) and would hate to see you in pain, especially when cutting yourself. Don't give in to these urges, for when you do, you're letting your dad win by letting him get to you. It's a stronger statement to overcome his tyranny by being successful at the things that interest YOU! I would also check out this website: http://www.girlslife.com/post/2008/08/04/HELP!2.aspx. It can provide you resources when you feel you have none. Hope everything goes well Smile

i feel the same way here, but i cant have a diary because my father reads them, i cand spill in my poems because he reads them too, most of my problem are with him, and my...um....sexuality...and my sister but i just dont know what to do anymore because my best friend moved to colorado unexpectedly....and i am in a cyber school se we really dont have any counsolors or anything i can talk to so i am lost in photography, paintings, and anime and i siriosly feel like cutting sometimes...i feel so alone
