Quick solutions for your resolutions

 
 
The holidays are here which means—eek—the year is basically over. It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost time to say sayonara to 2013. Have zero time to write out those resolutions? Don’t fret: We’ve got five great goals for the new year to get you started.

Resolution: Be a clean queen
Solution: School, clubs and a job, oh my. Being super-busy is no reason it should look like a tornado hit your room. Trash those snack wrappers when you finish eating, stack your shoes in the closet and hang your clothes up every night.  Instead of waiting ‘till you can’t see your carpet, keep it clean from the get go. Organization will be a piece of cake.
 
Resolution: Tackle a totally new project
Solution: Always wished you could whirl and twirl like the stars on T.V.? Jealous of the athletes you see running the track after school?  It’s time to give it a try. Sure, you may not become an Olympic athlete, but who knows, you could end up stumbling upon something you totally love. Come on, what do you have to lose?
 
Resolution: Spend time offline
Solution: If you’re a Facebook fanatic, it’s time to take your online use down a notch. Trust us, you’ll get your homework done SO much sooner. The Internet’s way helpful for keeping in touch with your buddies (and GL of course), but spend some time chatting with your friends and fam in person for a change. We “like” this.
 
Resolution: Be outgoing
Solution: We all wish we could be “that girl,” you know, the gal who is friends with everyone. The truth is: you can. You’re a shy sweetheart, but don’t be afraid to speak up, girl! Start out small by just saying hello and making small chit-chat. Sure, it’ll feel a tad weird at first, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. Besides, who doesn’t love a friendly classmate?
 
Resolution: Eat healthy
Solution: Drop those Doritos. Being healthy is all about moderation. Go ahead and have one of mom’s fudgy brownies, but substitute fruit and veggies for bad-for-ya snacks whenever possible. Invite your fam to experiment with good-for-you recipes too. Your tummy will thank you later.
