My BFF doesn't like it when I hang out with my friend Laura. She always gets jealous and says mean things about her. But I like Laura and I want to keep being her friend.

My BFF has no right to tell me who to hang out with, so I stayed away from her. Now Laura and I are best friends and have way more in common than I had with my ex-BFF, but I still miss her. I’m afraid she doesn’t want anything to do with me because I ditched her. How can we start being friends again?

You’re right: Your BFF was not acting like a BFF. She should be welcoming to the other people in your life. But she also may have felt threatened by your new friendship and did not handle it the right way.

Your ex-bestie might miss you too, but feels rejected. Try being honest with her and let her know that you didn’t like the ‘tude she was giving Laura, but that you wish all three of you could be friends. Or at least that you could regain your old friendship.

Just be straight with your friends, and try not to expect them to read your mind. You might find that you’re more on the same page than you think.

hi soo im dating this guy who is ssoooo sweet and nice but is a little chubby....now dont get me wrong i do not care about his appearence but the problem is my friend saw him on facebook and she made a mean comment about how he is chubby. I really dont care what she thinks im happy to be with him but it bothered me becuz shes my friend and she should be happy for me and she is also a hipocrit becuz she says dont jugde a book by its cover and yet she said that plz help im a little hurt by it all. thankz

If you're feeling offended by what she said, you have every right to let her know about it. Don't get emotional or anything, but just calmly tell her that her comment about your BF upset you because you really care about him. Let her know you appreciate her honesty but sometimes she shouldn't say exactly what she's thinking, if it's going to be hurtful to someone. Tell her you depend on her to be supportive and be there for you, so it was disappointing when she said that. As long as you tell her in a mature and calm way, she won't get angry - but she should know that what she said wasn't ok!

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD Whenever I go to my cousin's house and her other side of the family is there she always hangs out with them and leaves me out...same if any of her friends are over. It makes me feel upset and unimportant. I've told her exactly how I feel before. She said she would do better but she continues to do the same thing!!

Help! i had a big fight with my besst friend months ago and we went our seperate ways and she has been absolutely horrible to me since then and it sounds insane but i miss her we spent EVERY day together and shared EVERYTHING we were like attached at the hip and she has moved on but i still think she wants to be friends too and idk what to do anymore please help! i miss my bff

I'm so sorry, I know exactly how you feel. It's tough to go from having a BFF that you spent that much time with to not having her at all - you're bound to miss her at least a little! But you can get through this! Instead of dwelling on it and remembering all the things you're missing out on, focus on what you have. You have great friends around you to hang out with and tons of ways to make yourself happy! Get involved in a new club/sport to meet new potential friends and try to move on too. Later, when you both are less emotional about things, you can always try to get back in touch and see if you can fix things. For now, just try to give her space and see what happens <3
