Celeb trainer Ashley Conrad crafts a quick circuit just for GL. Repeat it 2 to 3 times all the way through, 3 days a week.
 

Squat Jumps
Start with your feet at hip width. Crouch down and plant your hands on the floor. Kick your legs out and back, so you’re in a push-up position. Jump your legs back into a squat position. Explode off the ground. Repeat 10 to 15 times. Then jog in place for a minute.
 
Lateral & Front Raises
Stand with feet at hip width, holding 3-pound weights. Keep arms straight and raise them to the side, stopping shoulder height. Return to start. Raise weights straight in front of you, stopping shoulder height. Do 12 to 15 reps and 30 jumping jacks.
 
90-Degree Circles
Lie on your back and lift your legs straight up in the air. Place your arms and hands firmly at your sides. Rotate your legs in an outward motion, making 12-inch circles in the air. Repeat for one minute and then rotate your legs in the other direction for 1 minute.
 
Park Bench Dips
Sit on the edge of a bench, with your hands beside you. Scoot your butt of, and support yourself with your arms and legs. Bend your elbows and lower down until your arms form a 90-degree angle. Push back up. Repeat for 8 to 10 reps. Jump rope for a minute.
 
Walking Lunges
Start with your feet together. Take a big step forward with your left leg. Bend both legs so they form right angles and lower down. Keep your spine straight. Take your back right leg and step forward and repeat. After 5 lunges, perform 2 squats. Repeat 4 times.
 
Incline Push-ups with a Twist
Get into a push-up position with your feet elevated on a stair. Lower down by bending your arms. When you come up, tighten abs and bend your left elbow and right knee so they almost touch. Return to start. Repeat 8 to 10 times.

hey how are you? i feel that mods are very unappreciated. hmmm... well anyway, i want to start working out on a regular basis, but whenever i try, i quit after a few days. what are some ways to get me to stay on track more? thank you




Hey girlie. I'm good! That is so sweet of you to ask. As for working out, try creating a goal for yourself such as "run a mile in 8 minutes." Then work everyday to achieve that goal. Also, make a good playlist so when you workout you will also be entertaining yourself and not thinking about being tired or sore. Working out with a buddy can help, too! Find a friend who is really motivated and then ask her to workout with you and make you go to the gym even even you are tired! When I hit the gym or go for a run when I feel like taking a nap, within just a few minutes, I feel wide awake! You try it.

Hello, how are you? I have a question. I'm very self-conscious, and I think I may be over weight, but I'm not sure if it's just me over reacting. I am 5'3" and I weight 127...is that normal? Oh, Im also 14...




Hey girl, I'm alright. A little tired! It's almost midnight here. As for your Q, it's totally normal. You're fine and healthy. Know that everyone is a bit insecure about their bod sometimes. You're not alone. Embrace the imperfections because they're what make you you and beautiful.

Mod! I'm no flexible at all! I have never been able to even touch my toes. And about once a month my back gets really achey. What can I do? How often should I stretch and how can I get myself to stretch more?

MOD MOD MOD I want to lose about 10 pounds by the time christmas is over can you tell me ways to put the junk food down?

 

Hey girl, First off, it's really important to talk to your doc before you start any kind of weight loss plan.  It's okay to have a little junk food now and then, but if you find yourself overdoing it, try to move on to another activity to keep your mind busy.  And keep your house stocked with healthy treats, too!
