Check these out, too...
Gloria plays the perfect daughter of the nouveau riche Carmody clan—good grades, good looks and a huge diamond on her ring finger, to boot. Engaged to the most eligible bachelor in Chicago, she has nary a scandal to her name and can only imagine the seedy underbelly of 1923 Chicago.
The 17-year-old should be all smiles, but she’s yearning for a life filled with passion rather than duty, and her time to truly live is quickly running out.
When she and her trio of secret-hording friends stumble into Chicago’s most notorious speakeasy for one last hurrah, Glo finds herself loving every minute of it, from the free-flowing drinks to the entrancing eyes of a handsome young jazz piano player. But will her double life lead to despair or true love?
Only author Jillian Larkin has the answer. Pick up this quick read at a bookseller near you. The next installment in The Flapper series, Ingénue, arrives in September 2011.

POSTED IN , , book reviews
Anyone else think there should be a suggested list? I mean one not created by Girlslife? Not that there's anything wrong with these books but it'd be nice to get some other options as well. Speaking of... I HIGHLY reccomend the book Wake by Lisa Mcmann, and it's sequels; Fade and Gone. I really love these books!

I saw this book at my BFF's house. It looks similar to the 'Luxe' series but still good.

OMG! I read about the Roaring Twenties in my class, and I read the Great Gatsby (and I recommend that you read that one too) and this would be so cool to read!

Oh my goodness this book is amazing!! My school's librarian knows the author and several people (including me) got advanced reader copies. Then Jillian Larkin herself came and ate lunch with us and we got to ask her questions! I totally recommend this book, it even inspired my flapper halloween costume

Flavor: A minty gloss that tastes and smells just as scrumptious as the original cookies.
