What should I get my older brother for Christmas? I have no idea what!!!! (yes im thinking about it very early, but time goes by fast!!!) he's 17 and he likes video games but i am horrible at choosing video games, i'd probably end up buying like a little kid game. and plus i dont have a lot of money cuz i have to buy for my parents and grandparents too! He is on the competitive soccer team and is really good, but soccer season will over by then! i also cant get him clothes cuz he likes choosing for himself and my choices for him would probably be bad haha. so any ideas?? like $25, max. Plx dont say something like a card or a picture of us because he wouldnt like it haha. so ya thx!!!

A gift card would definitely be a great compromise! Get him a gift card to the store where he most often shops for video games so he can choose the game but he doesn't have to pay for all of it. Then write a little note telling him to put the gift card towards his next video game purchase - that you didn't know which one he was most excited about, but hopefully when he plays the game he thinks of the gift from you! Smile

I think most stores have sweatpants — from Walmart to department stores, sporting goods stores and smaller mall stores. You're probably likely to find them anywhere. I'm in eighth grade at a prep school. this year, i got the guts to sign up for girls' varsity LAX with my best friend- and we made it! i'm very tiny for my age, and prep school lacrosse is really rough. and the practices are rough too-running ten laps, etc. i'm a runner, too, so it's not that, but i'm just nervous i'll either get hurt because of my size, and/or be too tired all of the time! what should i do to stay healthy?

 

Hey chica, congrats on making the team! Make sure you're getting lots of sleep every night. Get your homework done early so it doesn't keep you up into the wee hours of the night. Also make sure that you're eating very healthy--sweets and salty snacks won't cut it anymore! Eat a big, healthy breakfast every morning, and make sure you're packing a healthy lunch for school. This year i got new gym shoes and i just ended gym and i looked at the bottom of my shoes and they where like felt and fuzz was ALL over the bottom. What types of shoes won't fall apart on the bottom when i go to gym.

Also, another problem if I quit, I wouldn't have anything better to do because I'm not in any sports. I want my mom to sign me up for things, but she's taking a long time. Hey girlie! You can just tell people you are on the forum with that though you appreciate their company and input to the forum, you have decided to pursue other interests such as swimming or soccer. As for actually getting into a sport, for the time being you can the simple exercise of running to help promote your cardio and endurance which is key in participating in a sport. All that requires is comfortable workout clothes and a good pair of running shoes. As for signing up for a sport, just ask your guidance counselor or gym teacher at your school if they could grab some sport sign-up sheets for you, and start filling them out with the information you already know (name, age, etc.) Then approach your mom and just ask her the questions you don't know, filling them out as she answers them. Then just get her to sign and write a check (if needed) and you'll be good to go!

Hey girls, you can get stuff just like this, if not better, at Marshalls for WAY cheaper. IDK if it's the same for yu guys, but for where I'm from, Marshalls is having markdowns and tonsa things (including fab workout gear!). I just bought a bunch of stuff there and I saved SO much! I don't think the yellow top is too great. Why not get a comfy shirt and use an iron-on decal. The shirt could be in any color and the decal could be something cute, or represent your fav sport or sports team!

I had a few q's about tampons. 1. I'm afraid that when I put it in, it won't be able to come out! You know how you put a tampon in water, and it expands a lot? Well, what if it gets stuck and I can't get it out?! will it?
2. When you put in the tampon should you be able to see the very end of the tampon, or should it be completely in so that you can't see the tampon at all, just the string?
PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It won't get stuck! It's true that your bod will have to adjust to the size of the tampon and that it might feel a little uncomfy the first time you use it, but you'll definitely get used to it Smile Try not to worry! Instead, relax your muscles and take deep breaths. That'll make it much, much easier. And when you put it in, it should be ALL the way in. All you should be able to see is the string hanging down!

Have you checked sporting goods stores like Sports Authority or Dicks Sporting Goods? How about Target? Try those places, and if you're still having trouble then ask your dance instructor for suggestions. There's no harm in that! You have a budget and that's non-negotiable, so it's worth asking around to find a place that suits your needs Smile

*****modmodmodmodmod***** hi im almost 14 and ive never had a bf. all my friends have bfs and have exes too. all they ever talk about is their bfs and making out and stuff. i really want a bf but nobody seems to like me and i am kind of shy. there is one guy who txts me a lot and calls me and said he wants to go out with me but ive never even met him in person. we go to the same school so i know him but i thought he might be lying cuz i dont even know him at all. i stopped txting him but im not sure if that was the right thing to do. if i txt him then he expects us to txt for like an hour and i dont like wasting my time so i always make an exuse to go. im not sure if i should start txting him again cuz hes the only guy whos ever liked me but at the same time im afraid he will be mad at me for not txting him back ever. should i just start txting him again and make him my bf or should i wait and be left out whenever im with my friends so i can wait for a bf who i no better? thanks!

 

Hey, girl. You should wait for a boy that you actually like! If you don't like this boy don't date him just to date! But also don't totally blow him off until you've met him. Start up texting with him again, but let him know that the two of you should meet and hang out in person! Then you can decide whether it's worth it, or whether you want towait for someone special!
