Should I tell my parents about my boyfriend?

 
I have a boyfriend and we’ve hugged and kissed and stuff, but my mom and dad don’t know. Should I tell them?

 

Hey girlie! Things like this depend entirely on your relationship with your parents. While they should definitely know if you're seeing a guy outside of school, other  details are up to you. I’m really close with my mom, so I tell her everything. Some of my friends, however, are pretty tight-lipped about their relationships.

 

It sounds like you might be feeling a li’l bit guilty about keeping your relationship and your intimacy a secret. If that’s the case, then why not spill the beans? When you don’t have to be concerned about hiding your feelings from your ‘rents, you’ll be much more comfortable in your relationships with both your Mom ‘n’ Dad and your boyfriend.

 

Bonus? Chances are, your mom would love it if you confided in her. Moms are corny like that.

hey, i just got asked out by the guy i've been crush'in on for a while i don't know hoe to tell my parents help
and
i've never had a bf before and the guy who asked me out is a year older then me ans we go to the same really small school and alll of his friends will know by monday how should i act aroun him and his friends

Hey girlie. Do you think your parents will allow you to date? Talk to them about it. As for his friends, at first it may be a bit awkward, but it will fade, trust me. If anything, go up to them and introduce yourself--be friends with them if they are nice guys. This is exciting! Dance around your room, listen to good music and walk with confidence.  : )

Yes, because if he calls ur home fone, and ur parents ask who he is and he says ur bf then they will find out the hard way what is going on. everythi n would be easier if u told.

I can see why you feel that way. When I first started dating I didnt tell my parents but then my mom found out and then my dad did later. He still has a problem with it but my mom is totally fine with it and I can talk to her about anything.

If you are doing intimate things with your bf more than kissing you can or dont have to tell your mom at first. I think after a while they get the idea that things happen so if you wait it may be better but I would tell her you are least dating.

MOD MOD MOD This fall I met a really cute guy in a play I was doing. He's definetely one of or *the* nicest guy I've ever met, and we both flirted a lot with one another, texting and in person. Then, he asked out one of my best friends. I'm still obviously really bummed about that even though they've been dating for 2 months now. The thing is, my friend has only met him in person once, for about a minute, the night of the play, and they haven't even gone on a date. Also, my bff can't seem to get the balance of talking about him. She either talks about him too much, or doesnt talk about him at all in front of me and then tells everyone else. Lately, she's saying "I hate my life, I'm so unlucky" and I dont know how to explain to her that she's lucky without getting either of us reallly mad. (She's sensitive.) PLEASE help and thank you SO much!

 

Hey girl! It's never fun when your crush asks out your best friend, I think this has happened to all of us before! You should always remember that losing a friendship over a guy is never worth it! I am sure that you and your friend will have plenty more crushes in the future! For now, you should sit down with your friend and tell her not to feel upset because she really is lucky! She is especially lucky to have a friend like you! However, if she still seems upset you should speak to a guidance counselor or a parent that can help you! Goodluck! XOXO
