NikkiFitness shared some of her fave moves for shaping up like the celebs. Perform this circuit three times for a fab, total-body toning workout. Grab a pair of 10 pound weights and get started. Don’t have a 10-lb weight? A gallon of water comes close. And remember: you might want to start with lighter weights if you’re new to working out.

Move 1: Cardio Squat Thrusts
Crank that music, girl. Nikki suggests doing this move to an 8 count with your favorite up-​​temp music. Do jumping jacks on counts 1 and 2. Then squat down and touch the ground and jump back into a plank (that’s when you’re in a push-up position with your bod tight) for counts 3 and 4. Jump back up to stand for counts 7 and 8. Do ten reps.

Move 2: French Press Calf Raises
Start standing with your feet at hips-width, with a 10-lb weight held with two hands over your head. Nikki says to lower the weights behind your head, keeping elbows and triceps in tight (near your face). “Press back up for one rep and as you lift the weight, rise up onto the balls of your feet,” she tells us. “Lower on to our heels as you lower the weight each time.” Do ten reps.


Move 3: Reach For The Stars
Start with 5-10 pound weights in each hand. Lift your right hand out to shoulder level. “Bend to your left, sliding left hand and weight down your leg as you push the right hand weight to the sky.” Make sure to keep your core tight the entire time. Return to standing and lower your arm. Repeat 10 times on each side.

Move 4: Plank Rows
Grab two 5-10 pound weights. “Support yourself on top of them in a plank position, hands directly under shoulders and toes on the ground, knees lifted. Your heels, hips and shoulders should form a straight line, like a plank or a board,” Nikki says. “From here, lift the right weight off the ground to your ribcage and push your elbow to the sky.” Lower back down to start and repeat on the other side. Perform 10 reps on each side.

I have a semi-formal dance coming up. I'm in high school (sophomore) and i have great shoes and a great dress. I'm blonde, with medium length hair (past my shoulder a couple of inches) and it's kinda thin but not too thin (it's just not "thick"). I would really like to know what hair style would be the cutest. I would like some soft curls (like ringlets) and have all or most of my hair down. Any cool ideas? Smile




Hey girl, I'd curl your hair and do a teased half-up, half-down 'do: think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's with curls. Add a pretty rhinestone barrette to keep the 'do in tact and you're looking charming.

Sorry ANOTHER question. I've had a lot of questions lately. Hope you don't mind. Anyways my mom thinks me my brother and sister should all get involved in some kind of sport or physical activity. My mom thinks I'd be a good dancer but what are some sports or kind of dance do you recommend? I really have no idea. I don't exactly know what I'm interested in but I'd be willing to try any sport or dance (which is considered a sport). Anyways any ideas? Thanks a million!




Hey girl, I used to do ballet which I really liked for dance with friends. I feel like a team sport would be great for you though: try softball in the spring!

What are some quick and easy hair styles to do after a run or swim at the gum. We always take a shower there and I have hair things but my hair get super poofy (curly hair which is fab 90% of the time) so I need some quich dos' to pit my hair up that will
last me to go to the store or something before bed. Thanks! Tong




Hey girl, I'd do a ponytail or messy bun: they're quick and get your hair out of your face. You could also use a headband to pull it back.
