Glitzy gift: Bejeweled compacts

The solution? Why, this glitzy mirrored compact, of course!

What you’ll need:

Plain mirrored compact

Hot glue and a hot glue gun (You can use a variety of glues but be warned: Superglue will make the rhinestones appear cloudy!)

Rhinestones and any other decorations you’d like to use

What you’ll do:

Spread some newspaper over your work surface, plug in your hot glue gun and get to work, girl! Take your time to keep things neat as you glue on your rhinestones or other decorations. If you want to create a design—like your BFF’s initials—you should plan it out before you begin gluing.

A sweet touch is grabbing a cosmetic compact from the drugstore containing your bud’s go-to makeup. You can bejewel a lipstick, a pot of lip balm, the end of a mascara wand—just about anything!
