Whether you’ve been bullied, seen it happen or been the
bully yourself, No Name-Calling Week is an annual opportunity for students just
like you to express your feelings about the national bullying epidemic.
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is
currently working with more than 50 sponsors to bring anti-bullying education
to thousands of elementary, middle and high schools across the U.S. The week,
spanning Monday, Jan. 24, through Friday, Jan. 28, offers communities the tools
they need to begin a discussion about ending bullying. GLSEN wants you to drop
the sticks and stones, and leave hurtful habits at the door.
Barnes & Noble is the most recent partner to come on
board. You can watch interviews with stars like Hilary Duff and authors like
Laurie Halse Anderson on their website.
