Avoid makeout mishaps with our kissing secrets


Kissing is like dancing, you have to let the boy lead. But here are a few tips that’ll take your kissing to the next level.

Breathe
It may sound silly, but sometime when you’re caught in the moment air is the last thing on your mind. If you feel out of breath but don’t want to push him away and gasp for air, take a little break by kissing his cheek or neck then going back to his lips when you’ve taken a few subtle breaths.

Be prepared
Try to keep gum and Chap Stick close at hand if you think you might get a kiss at the end of your date, but being prepared is more than having soft lips and sweet breath. Don’t kiss someone you don’t want to because it’s a dare or because your friends are pushing you too, even if you like him. If you’re nervous your mouth will be dry and so will your lips. If he’s the right guy, then your kiss can wait ‘til you’re ready.

To tongue or not to tongue?
If you’ve been kissing for a while and you haven’t gotten any tongue action then try to kiss slower and open your mouth a little wider. If he still isn’t getting the hint then lick his lips and wait until he licks back, don’t just shove your whole tongue into his mouth. Once the tongues have been introduced twist yours around his and just enjoy the ride.

Lip Nibbling
Sometimes when you’re really into a kiss, and you’re in one of those feisty moods, try to give his lower lip a cute little bite. Don’t sink your teeth into him (this isn’t a vampire novel), but do give him a gentle nibble that lets him know you’re fun and like to shake things up a bit.

There's no way to force a guy to like you, unfortunately! The best thing you can do is just keep spending time with him and having fun together. You can try flirting with him too, and see how he responds. Compliment him, laugh at his jokes, invite him to do more things with you besides the pool, things like that. Touch his arm when you say something to him, and maybe even wear some super cute outfits to get his attention. Hopefully this will show you're into him!

Saphire124, Heck no you arent the only one interested in those things. I have a bf so I can kiss and be kissed when I want but there are times when I am in class when I just start thinking about kissing him and I just need to do it, its normal.
And I like romance novels too, sometimes I just search online for good romance stories on blogs and other sites, and Im not the only one doing that, so thats normal to.

Nah, this isn't a cause for concern just yet. Guys are kinda bad at keeping their phones on them all the time (or recognizing when we want a response back), so if he doesn't text back once in a while, that doesn't mean he doesn't like ya. Try to text a lil less often and see if he initiates the convo once in a while. If not, it's still no big deal. Just make sure you aren't coming on too strong by texting too often/too quickly - because that could make a guy wanna end the convo before it's even started!

If you want to kiss "more seriously" (like French kissing or whatever), you kinda have to go for it! Use your tongue to hint to him that you want to - lightly lick his lip in one spot as you're going in for your normal kiss. I know it sounds silly but you're not giving his face a dog lick - just a light little touch. Do this every so often and he'll get the hint Smile

This is definitely a situation an adult needs to handle. I'd say you should talk to your friend first. Don't accuse her of anything, tell her how much you love her and that you're concerned for her. If it turns out she really is, then she needs to tell an adult so she can get everything figured out. Don't let her keep this a secret. Be a support system for her because she's going to need you.

Talk to your mom and tell her that it really hurts your feelings that she doesn't trust you at all. Ask her what you can do to earn that trust, or why she thinks you haven't earned it already. Try to make a deal with her, like if you don't fight with your siblings for a whole week or get good grades than you can go to the mall with just your friends. It's not weird at all - but it's also totally dependent on what you feel ready for! That's fine you're ready to kiss, and also fine that you aren't ready to make out. Instead of pushing your BF away mid-kiss when he tries to go further than you want to, try telling him how you feel sometime when you're just hanging out. While he has his arm around you watching TV or something, just say "Hey can I ask you something?" He'll say yes, then tell him "I really like kissing you and I'm so glad I have you as my boyfriend, but I don't think I'm ready for full-on making out yet. Do you think we can just keep it at kissing for now?" Be sweet and make sure he really knows how much you value him as your BF - it's not that you don't like him, it's just that you aren't ready to take it to that next step. Be honest <3

1) Nope, it's not weird!  We all develop at different ages, even including what we want with guys.  But rest assured, that's normal!

2)  If you feel weird asking him to dance, you could always just try talking to him when he's taking a break from the action.  If you do wanna ask him, slow dances are always a good bet.  Besides, if they do make fun of you, that's there immature problem, not yours.  xoxo

It sounds like he might want to, but he knows his parents won't like it. If you really like him and respect his parents, then you should follow the "no kissing" rule, as hard as that may be. Hey babe! This is a tough situation. You need to ask yourself if it would make any difference to you if your BGF still likes you or if he was telling the truth. If If it wouldn't change anything, you still only want to be friends with him, then it's probably just better to forget about it. If, however, you are interested in him and now see him differently because he has said this, and see your current relationship differently, you need to talk to him. i'm sure it's a little tough when the guy is shy, so maybe something that will help is to help him feel comfortable around you.  He may feel insecure, so just remind him as often as you can how you feel about him.  Remind him of his strengths, and just let him know what you like about him.  It'll help boost his confidence, which may be the thing that's holding him back from making moves.  I'm glad you don't want to be pushy or pressure him--so just be patient, and wait till he's ready too (because I'm sure he wants it to be special too).  There's no rush--the more comfortable you guys are with each other, the easier things will get Smile

MOD So I was talking to my bf the other day and he said something that kinda freaked me out. We're really close and talk about most everything. Well a month or two ago I had a movie night with a bunch of my friends including him. The girls wanted to watch a chick flick and I caved. To make up for it I played Monopoly with my bf to "save him" from the chick flick. Have you talked to your BF about this? Just tell him you're a little bit more of a romantic and you'd love if you could work some romance into your relationship. It could be that he's never done it before, isn't as romantic a person as you, or feels awkward/lost when it comes to stuff like that. Help him out and communicate a little. I've liked Drew since idk, 2nd grade (I'm in 7th-8th grade), but he doesn't know that I like him. We used to talk after school all the time and I even met and talked to his mom for a while. Hey, so my boyfriend and I have been going out for a month and a week as of today. We held hands for the first time on Wednesday, but a friend had to literally put my hand in his because I'm really nervous about that kind of stuff and tend to clam up and he's just shy and awkward when it comes to that. MOD Okay, I realize this may be a little mature for this site, but I'm really scared and I don't know where else to go, so if it is, can you just hide my part of the comment and then answer it? I was hooking up with my boyfriend last night, we got to third, and I got some of his pre-ejaculation fluid on my hand. Like fifteen minutes later, I went to the bathroom. I've been on the pill for period cramps for 3 months now anyway, and that would make it an even more regular cycle (even though I was already regular before going on it), so the fact that I was in the middle of my period last night makes it less of a chance I could get pregnant, right? I know it's not really likely, but I'm still TERRIFIED. I've been pretty good about taking the pill at the same time every day, but I have been off by a couple hours lately. Do you think I could get pregnant? :/

 

 

Hey girly! This is a toughie. It is possible that you could get pregnant while on your period, and while on birth control, but the chances of both are very slim. Just to be safe though, I'd maybe get a pregnancy test at the drug store. That way, you'll feel way better. And, you can be more careful next time.

So my boyfriend and I have been together for a while but we haven't kissed or anything yet... I want to and I think he wants to as well but neither of us have the guts. I was thinking that on Valentine's Day I'd get him a cute little card and maybe give him one of those Sweethearts that says 'Kiss Me', maybe playing "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer on my iPod (without the headphones in of course). Well, you keep your lips on his, unless you wanna mix it up with a lil kiss on the cheek! Usually people will "alternate" lips - like, his top lip will be above you top lip, which will be above his bottom lip, which will be above your bottom lip. Make sense? And what you do with your tongue kinda depends on how the individual kiss is going. If you're French kissing, try starting by softly touching his tongue with the tip of yours. As you get more into it, you can get more creative and swirl yours around his or whatever. Just be subtle and go with the flow!

Practice Makes PERFECT!
When I started kissing it was just a peck on the lips but now that I have a bf I understand the tongue and lip nibbling and the guys I have kissed love it. Its not for everyone and it depends on what you want to do but there are a lot of advantages on being a good kisser and the only way for that is to practice and practice some more!

My suggestion is when kissing know where to put your hands because that is a big part of it and that just takes time and experience.

Umm, gross. Maybe it's just me, but having a 2-way saliva exchange doesn't really fall into the "romance" category in my book. So I'm not going to shove my tongue into any guy's mouth.

Okay so yesterday in gym we had to width ourselves and tell the teacher. I think I'm overweight but my friends say I'm skinny. I look skinny on the outside but I have no abs what so ever and I would like some quick ab burning exerises cuz I start swimming in gym on monday. I know it wont very fast but I really feel self conscious because I know my wiegh but others don't. What is the best way to lose some weight fast? Thanks so much!!!!




Hey girlie, you probably weigh more because of your height or muscle. If everyone says that you're skinny then believe them! For ab exercises try crunches. That'll be the best way to work on defining those muscles quickly.

There's this guy at my school that I really like, and my friends say that he likes me too. We have 3 classes together(1st, 3rd, and 4th period). We used to sit next to each other during 3rd and 4th, but every semester we switch seats, so now, I'm not sitting next to him anymore. When we sat next to each other, we would always joke around and tease each other, maybe even be a little sarcastic. It seemed like he would always try to make me laugh. Now, since we don't sit next to each other, he doesn't try to talk to me anymore. Does he like me like I like him, or was he just being friendly since he's part of the "popular crowd"? Thanks!
