Is it normal to shave "down there"?


Are you supposed to shave 'down there'? My sister tells me I supposed to. What should I do?

There’s no right or wrong answer in this situation. It basically comes down to the fact that you have to do what it most comfortable for you.

What’s the norm?
When it comes to hair down there, there is no norm. Some girls don’t mind having hair in that area, some shave the bikini area, and some girls don’t like any hair there at all. It just depends on what makes you the most comfortable with your body.

Since summer is almost here, shaving will be important for most of us because of going swimming and going to the beach. Some of my friends sometimes leave hair by accident where you can see it when they wear their bikini. Take my advice and shave because its just better that way and not embarrassing.

i shave ...there also but sometimes it hurts am i suppose to use certain razors i use the venus one that already had the soap or shaving cream on it? i really want to know but im embarrassed to ask my mom




hey girlie,

It'd be wise to use some additional shaving cream...and make sure that your razor is sharp!  Remember to replace cartridges often so that it doesn't cause nicks and cuts on your skin! Be careful Smile

dear mod,
this is sorta embarrassing but down they are the little flaps or what ever are kind of long and i don't know if that is normal or not. :/ its kind of weird because they r long and makes it bigger down there is kind of a way to say it i guess. So is that normal or not? I'm tired of worrying about it and just thought id ask since i don't really want to talk about it with a family member or anything and my family doesn't go to Dr's unless it is a absolute emergency

Hey girlie. I think you are fine! Try not to worry about things being wrong down there. If you want to get it checked out though, talk to your mom. You don't want to handle all the stress alone. That is what your parents are there for. Try to be honest with them : )

Heyyy mod! I gotta problem, I have slightly hairy armpits and my yonger siblings make fun of me because of it. I wanna shave my armpits but I'm soooo scared of cutting myself plus I don't no how to shave!!!! Any advice? Thanx soooo much for ur help!!!!!
