5 tips for the perfect study date

  • Is there a way to flirt without being obvious?
With V-day just days away, romance is in the air. While you may not score your dream date in time for Hearts Day, there’s no reason you can’t live (or love) a little.

It’s time to make the moves on that cutie in class. But don’t worry, we’re dishing our best tips for a study date that’s A+ worthy.

1. Invite him for a change
We’d all love for Prince Charming to come sweep us off our feet. But let’s be honest, girl, waiting for him to make the first move could take an eternity. Impress him by taking the initiative and invite him over for a study sesh. Don’t want the ‘rents breathing down your neck? Head over to the library instead.

2. Don’t play dumb
We’ve all seen Mean Girls, so we know how well pretending-to-be-someone-you’re-not works out for ya. Don’t pull a Cady Heron. If you know the answer (or need help), speak up! Don’t act like a know-it-all, but he’ll appreciate some help. And when you’re having trouble, he’ll be happy to lend you a hand.

3. Actually study
Making a study date and not actually studying can be fun, no doubt. But, trust us, you’ll regret it when you take that dreaded test on Monday. Don’t be a total party pooper, but make sure you do get some work done; it’ll help you both. Plus, it’s a chance to test the waters and see if you have good chemistry.

4. Take breaks
You two have been plugging away at those math problems and haven’t really gotten a chance to chat. Not to mention, your brain feels like it’s about to burst! Take a break, grab some snacks and take a little time to flirt and talk. Besides, your head’ll thank you for the well-deserved break.

5. If all goes well…
If your study date goes well, ask him to hang out again—this time, minus the books. Remember how he mentioned there’s a new fro-yo place down the street? Hello, perfect date plans!

I like this guy but I'm too afraid to ask him out or ask him to the dance! I've asked my mom and even my dad if they had any ideas and they say I should try just asking him to do something but I'm to scared! Do you have any ideas on how to ask him and not sound desprate?

hey check this out! http://www.girlslife.com/post/2011/01/18/how-to-ask-him-out.aspx

My now bf and I actually did this before we started going out. He kind of asked me first and then I made sure we did it again a few times. Then we got together without the books and that is when things got good.

What a great article, you will know if there is chemistry and the flirting is the best when it starts to happen.
