Help me ditch hairy arms


I have a lot of hair on my arms. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it or make it less noticeable?
 
Many girls begin shaving their arms during their teen years. Shaving your arms is a great way to get rid of hair, especially if you have a lot of hair or very dark hair. The only problem with shaving your arms is that it can be difficult, and you may end up cutting yourself, most of the time near your wrists or elbows. Not to mention the stubble…
 
Waxing is another option, which can be very painful, but it lasts longer and you won’t get cuts from waxing. Using a hair removal lotion or gel is also a possibility if your skin isn’t too sensitive.
 
If you live in a sunny climate, you can try tanning outside in the warmer days. This will both lighten your hair and darken your skin, making your hair less noticeable.
 
All of these are great ways to lighten the hair or get rid of it altogether. Try chatting up your mom before you take action, though. She might be able to point ya in the right direction.

I always have had hairy arms and people make fun of me for it.I LOOK LIKE A LION! Its so embarrising! I told my mom, and she said people dont shave there arms and I will have hairy arms 4ever! HELP!!! I HATE MY HAIRY ARMS!!! Frown

HELP! I have hairy arms and my rents wont let me do anything about it! Its so noticeable too! People tell me "why are your arms so hairy?" or "you have really hairy arms." My mom says that they are light and not that bad. But I can't stand it anymore! Please help me!!!

MOD MOD I have alot of peach fuzz on my upper lip if you know what I mean, but anyway when I talk to boys they sometimes notice it. My mom said she wants me to wait because she thinks if I wax it might grow back thicker. Im in the 6th grade. I have really strong hairy genes from my dad. So what should I do.




Hey girlie. Talk to your mom about it again because there's not much else you can do besides dying it a lighter color. It might grow back thicker if you wax it, but that will be something you have to risk. So, before you do that, make the best decision for you with your mom.

I really want to start shaving my legs but my mom says it just grows back darker and bushier, I have also heard that that is a myth. Is it a myth, cuz i cant wear shorts!




Hey girlie. In my opinion, leg hair grows back thicker, but not by that much. Many times it's hard to convince moms to let their daughters start shaving. Just keep talking to her though, and she will eventually let you.

okay shaving does NOT make your hair grow thicker, darker and longer. thats just a rumor. the only reason it LOOKS that way is because when you shave, the end of the hair (that goes from thick, near the skin, to thin, furthest away from the skin) gets chopped off and the flat end makes it look darker and thicker. i have no idea where you got the longer part from though.

sorry but most of these r realy bad ideas
shaving- makes hair grow back thicker,darker and longer
waxing-hurts worst and you have like spikey arm hair
hair removal lotion-burns skin and usally get rashes

Any advice for this? Well, unfortunately I have hyperhydrosis. My under-arms are very sensitive though, so I can't even wear deoderant without getting a bad rash, even if it's hypoallergenic. I've tried all different types too. Also, now I'm having a problem with shaving them because when I do, I get a rash as well! I've gone to my doctor, and she's suggested a few things; none of which work. Would you happen to have any advice for this?

 

Hey chica! You don't want to mess with skin conditions. My only suggestion would be to talk to your doctor about anything else that may work. I wouldn't want to recommend anything to you that could make matters worse. Your doctor is definitely the person to talk to.

Okay, so I have just a simple question: What is some of your favorite drugstore concealer/foundation/powder to use? Or what is some that works best? I currently use all CoverGirl, but it really doesn't work too great. The foundation doesn't blend, the powder flakes, and the concealer doesn't cover my blemishes and dark circles under my eyes. Also, if you know any links to articles on here that would help me sooo much!

Hey girlie! You'll probably have to try out many different concealers before you find one that you love. Before you ditch CoverGirl, make sure you're using the right shade. If you're using too light of a shade, you won't get complete coverage. If you're still unhappy, try brands like Maybelline or Neutrogena.
