When Feb. 14 rolls around, the pressure’s on for your
Valentine. He’s gotta go into full Prince Charming mode—flowers, candy, mushy
card and more. Let him take a load off by keeping your Valentine’s gifts casual
rather than costly.
His favorite treat
Let’s face it: Guys love
food, and they won’t think you’re taking the easy way out if you put some
thought into it. Bake his favorite treat, be it brownies, a batch of cookies,
or something else entirely. If he’s a candy kind of guy, grab a bunch of his
faves and put them in a glass jar or cute box he can put in his locker. The
fact that you knew his favorite
treat and made it especially for him
will make him love ya even more than he already does. Check out our best-ever brownie guide for some seriously gooey goodies. Yum!
Cine-master
Is there a new movie out that he’s dying to see but knows
you aren’t really interested in? Hitch a ride to the movie theater this weekend
and pick up tickets in advance. Tuck them into your card and present them on
V-Day. He’ll have a blast…and show you just how fab you are for being the best
girlfriend ever.
An inside joke
The best gifts are the ones you spot across a store that
just scream his name. Whether it reminds
you of him, is something you know he wants or needs or is a gadget straight out
of an inside joke, he’ll appreciate the thought and he’ll love knowing he’s
always on your mind.
Something fun
Head to Target or Wal-mart and wander around. Grab a movie
or an old-school board game and hand it over on the big day…with a promise to
watch or play it later, wink wink.
